Ellicausan Soldier (Jane)

This concept is hard for me for two reasons.

1. How am I going to showcase Jane Ferrite's demeanor?

I picked a more stoic position. Her posture is straight and not slouching. Jane's focus is forward and not looking around. She's wearing a combat uniform without a helmet for emphasis on her head.

2. I didn't have different shades of dark grey inks. And Jane was conceptually of very dark greys, blacks, and a light grey highlight for hair and skin. It was how I perceived the Ellicausans. What can I do?

Unfortunately, I had to try something different. So I went with the blue. It was the only dark color I had available for different shading and detailing of the face. It made the red pop out without losing focus.

The brown was an afterthought. From the complementary color of orange, it was a natural color for a military look. It enhances the blue color more to which I approved.

With these resolutions, I created this. I hope you, the readers, could imagine this character easier.

Jane Ferrite is a former military leader. Her hard-headedness created problems with others and yet drove Jane to solutions. She's still coping with the deaths of friends over decades. Alcoholism is her demon. Her fears and dreams tied to traditions, family, and her journey. Nightmares of her failures haunted her for years. And her biggest pride... being with her family again.
