I really have no clue how this ended up like it did but I will be publishing the next part at some point but I have no clue when as I have a bunch of other one-shots I'm working on.
I walk down the streets of Queens and to the subway stop. I get on when the subway to Times Square comes and I am shoved inside with everyone else. I hold the boom box to myself and keep it there for fear of dropping it of losing it.
You might be asking why in the world I was on the subway at eight at night going to times square and I will tell you even if you're not asking that. I want to get Mr. Stark a personalized watch for his birthday but I'm currently short on cash at the moment so I do what I would do, dance.
Now you might think I'm crazy but I'm not. I've been street performing with dancing since I was thirteen, it really helped a lot with money when I lived with Aunt May and it helped a lot when she kicked me out and before Mr. Stark found me and took me in.
I was so lost in thought that I almost missed my stop. I hurry out of the subway and make my way up the stairs and to the square. I find a bench and set down a jar in front of me and start my first dance and quickly gather a crowd.
I was breathing hard by the end but the rush of adrenalin pushed it to the back of my mind. I notice that there is a man in the front row that is watching me like a hawk, I mean everyone was watching me but he seemed to be studying me, I also noticed he was wearing a dark hoodie that partly covered his face as if he didn't want anyone to see his face.
I shrug it off and start the next dance.
(It's kind of strange but it takes a lot of talent to do this and I think this is really good)
I am really out of breath this time and everyone was clapping as if I just solved cancer's cure. The same man that I noticed before had his phone out and seemed to be filming me. I quickly take a drink while people start asking me if I'll dance some more.
I really didn't expect people to want to see me dance more but I shrugged and started my next and final song.
I finish and I really am tired now. People are clapping like crazy and I really am panting like crazy. I grin as people start putting money in the jar, there was definitely enough to pay for the rest of the watch. I turn to take a drink of water but a voice behind me makes me turn around.
"Those were some impressive moves you just performed," The man says and I shrug.
"Eh," I say and shrug.
"I have a question for you, why did you dance today?" The man questions and I shrug.
"I want to give a gift to someone and didn't have enough money to get it, I thought I could get it this way. Plus I really like dancing," I say with a grin and the man laughs.
"Well, that's good to hear. I was wondering if there's any chance you would be willing to enter a small competition that I am holding in about three days," The man offers and I blink in shock.
"Um, I really don't know if I can. I mean I would have to ask Mr. Stark if I could and even then I don't think I would be very well suited," I say and rub the back of my neck.
"You would be perfect for it! It's only going to have ten people competing in it," The man says and I shift from foot to foot.
"Well I'm pretty sure that Mr. Stark would want to talk to you in person," I say and the man seems to think and then nods.
"Alright. I have another question though, is Mr. Stark the Mr. Stark as in Ironman?" The man questions and I wince.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you yes," I say and the man laughs.
"Well I wouldn't actually be surprised, there has been a rumor Tony has been taking care of a teenage boy," The man says and I raise my eyebrows.
"You're on a first name basis with Mr. Stark?" I question and the man laughs again.
"I guess I never gave you a name did I?" The man questions and I nod.
"My names LL Cool J but you can call me Uncle J," The man who is now Uncle J says and I laugh. I was also stunned that the LL Cool J was talking to me and asking me to call him Uncle J.
"What's funny?" Uncle J questions in puzzlement.
"N-nothing, it's just that when you told me to call you Uncle J I was reminded of the Joker," I say and calm down.
Uncle J also laughs and covers his mouth with his hand trying to stop.
"I don't think DC would be to happy if they read this," Uncle J says and I raise my eyebrows at him.
"What in the world are you talking about? It's from one of my dreams," I say more confused than ever.
"It's nothing you need to worry about intel you meet Wade," Uncle J says and this just makes more confused.
"I should probably get back home before Mr. Stark as all the Avengers out looking for me. You can come along " I say glancing at my watch.
"Alright," Uncle J says and I smile hesadently, if he was truble I could just deal with it myself, I was spiderman after all.
