I had hardly dropped the groceries I bought when I heard the doorbell ring making me a bit surprised. Not because I wasn't expecting anybody but because I was not one who visited people and vice versa....well except my long-time friend who loved to call himself MJ"
"Not again" I rolled my eyes with raised shoulders as I saw it was indeed him.
"Come on Y/N. This is an opportunity you'd surely regret not grabbing." He said as he strolled in and made himself at home on my priceless cushion.
'Wait, what exactly do you take me for? I'm not interested and that's final." I said moving towards the kitchen.
"Its worth the money, if you'd ask me."
"If you ask me a thousand times, my answer remains the same. Nothing you say can change it."
"Y/N..."he said as he suddenly appeared in front of me making weird faces at me.
"Gosh, you scared the shit out of me MJ. You suck at making puppy eyes and you know that well." I pressed my lips together trying not to laugh.
"I don't even make that much in a 3 months and you're just passing up a chance for $5000 just like that. Come on Y/N, its just for a weekend. He won't bite you."
"Jung Jae Hyun....."
"It scares me when u call my full name....like that."
"You know I'm being serious." I corrected him. "Look, this may be a small thing for you or other people but its not for me."
"Y/N think about the bakery then...."
"Even the bakery wouldn't make me change my mind." I dead-panned. Really? Y/N (I mentally questioned myself)
He knew the bakery was the only thing that would make me give in but I wasn't having it.
No.
Not Today.
My bakery was a building-in-progress and I really needed to get it started before Fall and I needed cash for that, obviously. Realising that, I finally agreed.
"Fine....
"Thank God."
"However, I have some conditions." I said making sure to put more emphasis on the last word.
"AJSKELSLSGSHAJSK" He starts to mutter nonsense. That's what he does if he doesn't want me to continue arguing about something.
"You're such a baby." I scoffed.*********
Seating at a corner of the well furnished office is the man himself, Kim Nam Joon. The 2nd of the popular KIM BROTHERS and one of the youngest millionaires in the whole of South Korea presently.
Very friendly most times but equally scary when angry.
"Come in." He said as he reacts to the knock he heard a few seconds ago. "I said....I don't like to be disturbed while reading.
"I'm sorry sir but its urgent and I feel it is of the utmost importance if I let you know before hand if you'd like to..."
"Just go straight to the point." He said cutting off the young man.
"She's asking for you to meet up with her." He says regretting his choice of words almost immediately and earning a scoff from the elder as expected.
"Seems I have to make things clear here. I asked for a girl for the weekend not a wife."
"Sir, in my best interest, picking just any girl would be a very bad decision especially for a person of your status. Y/N is a bit traditional and I don't think she'd want to move in with someone she has never met even for a minute."
"Okay then. Forward her contact details to my e-mail and make sure you see me before you leave. Understood?"
"Yes...sir...of course."
The brown haired guy said and turned to leave.
"Wait. What did you say her name was?"
"Y/N"
