Life as a 'superhero' was a strange experience to say the least. It could go from a morning of mediocre activities to battling some alien Chitauri shit an hour later. But the day I received a message from Director Fury telling me to come to Avengers Tower, was one of the most confusing and frightening moments of my life.
An hour after receiving the text, I was here. With my eyes wide and jaw dropped I stared awestruck at the famous Avengers tower, home to some of 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes'. A small nervous sigh escaped my lips as I ventured forward, past the forbidding double doors and past security until I arrived in the large elevator.
'Good morning Miss L/N.' Spoke FRIDAY, 'Director Fury has gathered the available Avengers for your meeting in the main living room.' I nodded as a pang of nervousness hit me. Is nodding the appropriate way to respond to an AI? Main living room? How many do they have? Why am I here in the first place? Why are the Avengers here for the meeting? Are they recruiting me? Y/N don't get your hopes up...
Before I had a chance to mentally prepare myself, the elevator slid open revealing a collection of familiar faces chatting. As I stepped out of the elevator, I was noticed. Of course, I'd seen some of them before, after all they're on the news all the time, but seeing them all together, staring at me with intrigue, was nerve-racking.
'Agent L/N, I assume you're wondering why you were called here today,' Fury began his voice emotionless, 'Stark and Rogers are recruiting you.'
NO FUCKING WAY
'Welcome to the team ma'am, I'm Steve.' Captain America politely introduced then indicated to the man beside him, 'And this is Bucky.'
'You know who I am.' Said the armoured playboy himself, flashing his signature smirk and winking.
'Good to see you again Y/N.' Clint smiled.
'GREETINGS LADY Y/N!' Thor.
'I'm Wanda.' Scarlet Witch.
Involuntarily a smile plagued me lips and I nervously messed with my hands, 'It's nice to meet you all, I can't believe this is happening.'
'I know, meeting me leaves everyone like this.' Stark smirked resulting in eye rolls and groans.

Around three hours later I'm trying to process everything when a get a notification on the Stark Industries Communications APP.

MidnightFlame: I MEANT ASS!!!
IronMan: 😭😭😭😭 I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!
HOWKEYEEEEE: Your ego can't protect you forever
MistressMind: Ignoring that I hope you're getting settled into the tower
Y/S/N: I am but this place it feels like a dream!
IronMan: Well you better get used to it quickly Y/N, we're going out for drinks in an hour
