Without another thought, I kissed him.
I stay still, frozen in the second my lips touched his. They were soft, but the cold sea breeze made them an icy temperature that sent a cold chill though my body. I wait for his reply patiently, not trying to rush the moment or Leon. He pulls away slightly, licking his lips before he reconnects them back together. My heart picks up as he intertwines his rough grab with mine, securely holding my hand as each second deepens the long kiss.
Tingles take over my arm faster than lightning, letting goosebumps cover my body as abrupt chills shock my core. The feeling left behind made me quiver with anticipation and lust, causing an unusual whimper to erupt. How can he have this effect on me? Knitted eyebrows that were pulled together are eased as he moves closer, assumably to recreate the same reaction to occur, again. This was reassuring, showing that I wasn't the only one who wanted to exploit the intimate actions and experience felt in the blissful juncture.
The euphoric sensation clouds my brain, temporarily evading all the traumatic thoughts of the happenings. No longer did I see the infected folks when I shut my eyes; their unsettling optics wide and bloodshot. Hauntingly clinging to specks of recollection, along with grotesque visuals of the Plagas replacing bloody stumps where heads once were. Leon was the only thing I could picture, keeping me afloat in this twisted present. For the first time, I felt safe.
The world went silent, allowing no chance for my focus to be on anything but the striking man across me. Warmth travels from my empty hand up my sore limb, stopping as he tugs me closer from the bruised bicep. His grip is firm, pulling slightly to bring me back into his hug. Breaking our kiss, I'm pressed to his chest and my eyes search the steep cliffside. There was a way up, and I knew we had to continue on to save Ashley once again.
But I don't want this moment to end...
Before we could come to our sense of reality, an annoying sound was barely audible.
"Help!"
That's our queue.

Ashley's Point of View
I can't seem to catch a break! No matter how hard I try, I'm always caught again.
I'm tired. So tired of struggling to keep it cool. Tired of my heart racing, keeping me on edge like it's going to burst. The terror and fright is constant, and I didn't want to close my eyes in fear of waking in a new place. I miss my family -my dad, more specifically.
He had sent someone to bring me home, but I'm nowhere close to leaving this place... Wherever the hell this place is!
Leon was my only hope, and I couldn't wait to see his knightly face again. My heart ached when (F/n) crossed my thoughts, bringing more anger as I began to thrash harder, punching my fists hard down on his back. The guy seems to not be fazed as my hoarse voice screams directly in his ear, continuing to wait patiently as two other punks work to open the door.
"You fucking asshole! Put me the hell down! Let me go!"
Right, like that'll work.
My knee collides into something, a loud crack bouncing off the cement walls. The man drops me, cuffing his face as a muffled groan breaks the heavy atmosphere. I quickly get up and try to run, tripping slightly as I go down a small set of stairs and meet the gritty dirt terrain. I could hear his foreign warning, causing the two men moving two objects to immediately stop. Soon, multiple commands are flying through the air, along with some arrows.
