Violet's POV

I kept running, I look back and see lights, I'm too far into the woods to see lights! then I fall.

2 months before

Alright everything's packed, food water, knife, only childhood toy... I put on my purple tank top brown leather jacket, black leggings, and brown combat boots. I grab my black backpack, but before I was able to jump out the window, I heard a voice "Viola!" I spin my head and see him, my eyes tear up almost immediately "Chris?" I choke he has a rare form of cancer, and has been kept here for research, he's a few years older than me, and showed me the creatures when he walked in on me cutting. "without me?" he says, he picks up a backpack, and runs to the window, the sight of him makes me cry, he's so pale, we don't live in a hospital we live in a Laboratory, so they take blood "samples" and by "sample" they mean all of our blood. That smile on his bald head lets the tears loose, his smile fades and he engulfs me into a hug saying "hey, shhhh, what the brown?" I let out a giggle "why are you crying?" he asks "because I'm afraid for my best friend, Chris how long can you hold on, I mean, like-" he cuts me off "hey were gonna get through this together, alright." After a while we heard footsteps that were getting closer, and closer, and closer, then stopped, he quickly grabbed me then jumped out the window. Luckily there was a bush underneath that window, we kept running until we thought we were safe "I huh think huh we're good huh" I panted "huh yeah huh" he breathed. We walked deep into the woods, we made camp in a little cave and everything.

1 month later

I woke up and Chris was already up, "what's up?" I asked "we're out of food" my eyes nearly popped out of my head "we have to find food" he got up, and walked away "go the other way!" he yells I walk the other way, the only thing I could think about was that he needed his pills...

12 hours later

I'm lost. I got food and on my way back, or what I thought was back, I got lost.

3 weeks later

It's around 10:00 andI haven't seen any sign of anything for three weeks. I then heard many footsteps.

I kept running, I look back and see lights, I'm too far into the woods to see lights! then I fall.
