Kody's POV

How could parents scare there child like that? Threaten to kill them? Just to make them do what they want them to do.

"Look Calla. I can't take you in. But I can get someone to help you." I said looking down at my hands.

"....are you sure?" Calla stood up. So did I.

"Yes, give me your phone and I'll put the number in your phone." She did as I told her too.

After I put the number in I gave her phone back and walked away.

"Kody! Wait!" Calla called after me. I was already annoyed enough that I had to help Calla.

"What?!" I snapped around at her. She fell back in shock.

"Sorry, I just—thank you" Calla stood up and hugged me again.

"Yeah, yeah whatever." I went cold again.

Calla let go and I walked away. Lumine was looking at me.

"Kody?" Lumine looked a little sad. I wonder why?

"Y-Yes is e-everything o-ok?" I tried to keep the stutter out of my voice and failed.

"Why did you help Calla? I though you hated her" He looked at me.

"I do. But she doesn't deserve to be killed because she doesn't bully me." I looked at Lumine.

"I see. You do have a heart. And all this time I though that I was talking to a robot. I guess people surprise you when you least expect it." He have a goofy smile and a giggle.

I could help but feel that I wanted to hug him. For him to hug me. I wanted his touch. I wanted him to L—-

"K-Kody!" Lumine grabbed my hand.

"H-huh? W-what?" I snapped back into reality. Lumine didn't let go of my hand. And I didn't want him too.

I looked down at my hand that Lumine was holding and smile. Looking back up at Lumine I positioned my hand so that our finger tips were touching and I brought it up next to our faces. Lumine was red. And I was starting to blush. I closed my eyes and leaned me head against Lumines.

We stayed like that for a few minutes then I opened my eyes.

"You know, we should get back home. Adien will get worried if we don't" and with that I slowly pulled away, reluctantly. Lumine didn't move for a few moments and then ran after me.

"What was that?" Lumine was next to me now.

"What was what?" I knew what he ment but I wasn't really to accept it.

"That. What we just did. What was it?" Lumine stoped me and made me face him.

I looked down.

"I can't tell you."

"Kody? What does that mean?"

"I just can't Lumine. Drop it"

"Kody! I'm your best friend, tell me!"

"Best friend. Yeah"

There were tears in my eyes. I ran. Ran away from Lumine. Ran and ran. I could heard Lumine calling after me.

I didn't turn back.

I got home. I ran to my bed room and slammed the door. I got on my bed and curled up into a ball. Hugging my knees. I wanted to stop crying but I couldn't.

I heard Lumine at the other side of my door.

"K-Kody? C-can I c-come in?"

I got up. I wanted to let him in but that meant I would have to explain why I'm crying. I didn't want to do that. Not with Lumine. Not with anyone.

"NO! GO AWAY!" I yelled keeping the stutter out of my voice.

I didn't know what to do. I wanted to feel better. I wanted to forget everything. I looked around my room. My eyes landed on my desk. I saw a pair of scissors. I walked to my desk and grabbed them.

...should I really do this?.....

It'll make the pain go away.

I placed the scissors down on on arm. Not dragging it yet. I took a deep breath. I started to drag the blade over my arm and as I did I heard the door open. Then a gasp. I didn't look. I just stood there.

"K-Kody?!" It was Lumine.

"I said GET OUT!" I throw my arm around at him and a green blade hit Lumine. I held my arm close to me while Lumine got back to his feet.

"Kody. Please. I want to help." Lumine is so stubborn.

He walked over to me and grabbed the scissors and throw them away from us. Not looking away from me. He got close to an and grabbed my arm. And he examined it to see if I had cut myself.

There was a little scratch but nothing more. He intertwined his fingers and mine too. He closed is eyes and turned his head away.

I noticed that his ears were back and his tail was in between his legs. But was slightly wagging. Was he happy?

When he opened his eyes again I could see that he was on the edge of crying. He stoped holding my hand and then grabbed it and placed it over his heart.

"Kody. I would never forgive myself if anything happened to you. I l—" I saw his face go red.

He what?

"Lumine? You what?"

"N-nothing."

"You lies don't fool me. Tell me the truth Lumine."

Lumine lowered his head into my shirt and mumbled something I did hear.

.....If only he loved me.....
