This book is written ar two time levels, so don't be confused xxx

The last time I had seen Max Lenters was four years ago. I almost didn't recognize him when I saw him in the studio calling out my name. He had changed.

"Mara?", he had said, looking at me in disbelief. Only then, when I focused on him, I remembered. It was him. I really had thought I would never see him again. I didn't say anything. I was too shocked to answer.

"You two know each other?" Bob asked, lookind between the two of us. Maybe I should explain all this a little more. I had worked for Bob as an assistant for almost a year now. He was a professional photograper, having all kinds of fotoshootings with all kinds of people. I was mostly doing computer administrative things, like sorting out photos, that kind of stuff. It was easy work, and it fit nicely with my studies in Communication Sciences. I would mostly sit in the back of the studio, while he would be doing the fotoshootings. Sometimes there are some kind of castings, where he would be trying out models in front of the camera, and deciding who fit best at the end of the day. That's what we were doing today, so I was fairly surprised to see Max walking into the studio, looking all business with his suit and tie. It was a casting for the brand of an expensive watch after all.

"I thought I wasn't going to see you ever again!" Max said, ignoring Bob's previous question. He was still looking at my like he couldn't trust his eyes, taking me all in.

And I did too. He seemed to maybe have grown a couple centimeters, if that was even possible. He also looked a little more built, more older, and yeah he might have become more handsome too. Oh, who was I kidding? That man was fitting the title 'model' perfectly. Even back then, when we were still in school, all the girls were drooling over his pretty face.

I realized I hadn't yet said anything at all. I was too shocked to form any words. Max came a little closer, minimizing the distance between us. He didn't really seem to care that he was here for a job.

"What are you doing here?" I finally asked, still looking him in the eyes. Those deep green eyes that captured me the first time five years ago.

"I'm here for that model job, obviously" he stated, slightly smiling at me.

"Never would I have guessed you would become a model". And it was true. Max had always been that boy that never realized what an appearance he made. Or maybe he didn't care. It was one of the things that drew me to him in the first place.

Before Max could respond, Bob interrupted our little chat.

"Well, it's nice to see you two reuniting and all, but I don't have time all day. There are others waiting for their shot outside. Would you please come in front of the camera, Mr. Lenters?", Bob questioned, motioning to the white wall.

Max reluctantly followed Bobs lead, but still kept glancing towards me. Bob shot a couple of pictures in various angles, at times giving him instructiones on how to pose. When Bob finally said he had anough pictures, Max started going to the door, but then stopping and glancing to me. He looked like he wanted to say something, but then he decided against it. He turned around and left. I couldn't blame him, after all, I had left him those four years ago, not letting him know that I was going, never giving him the chance to say goodbye. Though it was a long time ago, it still felt like only yesterday when I looked into his green eyes for the last time, thinking I was never seeing him again. But here he was now, turning my whole life around once again.
