Troy somehow had enough cash for two bus tickets, so we were currently on a Greyhound heading to who-knows-where. Troy took the window seat, and he was slumped over, pressed against the dirty glass. I sat in the aisle with my legs crossed. I started to observe the other people on the bus.
On my immediate left, across the aisle, was an elderly couple who nodded off the second the bus took off. Two rows in front of me there is a seemingly homeless guy who's spread out on two seat. I can't see the person behind me, but I can definitely hear their music through their earbuds.
There were a couple others, all looking like they hit rock bottom. I lean back against the headrest, twisting my hair between my fingers and close my eyes. Just when I was about to fall asleep, the bus jerks to a stop and I nearly crash into the seat in front of me
"We're taking a rest stop, get back intended minutes or you can hitchhike with one of the truck drivers." The drivers yells in a croaky voice. I look over and Troy is awake, so I get up and start walking down the aisle.
We get off the bus and head towards our respective restrooms. The women's was gross, but beggars can't be choosers. As I washed my hands, some other people walk in. I keep my head down but look through the corner of my eyes. There were three women, all with long black hair, and they just seemed like they were standing around. I felt uncomfortable so I started to walk out of the restroom when one of them grabbed my shoulder.
"Excuse me?" She sounded overly polite. "Are you Irabella Vanrindé?" Her eyes were red, not like with allergies or anything, but her irises werethe color of blood.
"N-no." I stammer, and the woman grins at me, showing off her vampire fangs.
"Nice try, sweetie." And she knocks me out with a punch.I open my eyes to darkness, and from the way the ground moves below me I realize that I'm in the back if a truck. My arms and legs are tied up and my mouth closed with what feels like ducttape.
"I think she's awake." I hear a familiar someone say from somewhere. I felt a presence reach over and pull of my blind fold, and the light blinds me.
In front of me is a man, and when he smiles I can see his fangs. "Looks like the princess has woken up" he says, and the vampire who knocked me out earlier laughed.
"Honestly thought she would put up more of a fight. But that's fine, make any job easier." I realize that this was the woman who attacked me a few days ago.
Out if the corner r of my eyes, I spot Troy slumped over in the far corner, in a similar state that I'm in, except still passed out and with a few more wounds.
"What do you want from us?" I say, trying to sound brave.
The woman chuckles. "The little princess is confused, how cute." The rest of the vampires laugh.
"I'll tell her." A bored sounding voice comes from the back of the back of the truck. A small figure pushes himself out from the crowd and stops rights in front of me. My eyes widen as I realize I recognized him. "You're the daughter of our late king, and we're here to take you back to reclaim the throne."
Standing right I front of me, was Dan (short for Danger).A/N: WOWWW DID U EXPECT TGHAT COMING?? I bet u didn't so comment, vote, and shareeeee
