"Do I make you nervous?" He smirked, nibbling seductively on his bottom lip as he studied her.
She rolled her eyes, "You're a freaking ghost Taehyung, you'd make anyone nervous."
//Lee Cora moves into an apartment only to find out it's haunted by it...
Cora stood skeptically besides the warping bridge that was in desperate need of paint.
Behind it were the remains of a tiny apartment; a tiny apartment which she had previously thought was cute, only now did she realise how dangerous the place really looked.
She observed the area in further detail, scowling deeper as she noticed the crumbling of bricks scattering the floor like fallen soldiers and the slightly green tinted windows, which were cracked beacons of the past.
Grabbing her suitcase which had been forced shut, she cautiously walked across the rotting timber and towards her new home.
Wobbling over to the door due to the uneven terrain, she aggressively pushed open the entrance and stepped inside.
Surprisingly enough, overall the apartment was tolerable considering it's meaner outside appearance. With only minor leaks from the glass panelled ceiling above reflecting the stars of the night and a faulty kitchen light, Cora suddenly felt a lot more at ease with her choice.
It reminded her of an old warehouse that had been revamped into an modern day apartment, which was exactly the kind of style she was going for.
Clapping her hands in excitement she ventured around the open-planned kitchen and lounge, giving herself ideas to how she would eventually decorate the place.
Beep, beep.
Realising her phone was in the side pocket of her case, she quickly hopped over to where she had left it and after several attempts of trying to locate the particular device, she pressed answer.
"Are you in yet?" Her mother's soothing voice echoed throughout the apartment.
A smiled graced her lips, "Yes and it's beautiful, I think with some work I could really love it here."
"Well just remember if you ever want to come back home, all you have to do is ring." Her mother worried, causing Cora to roll her eyes playfully.
"Mum, don't worry I'm fine!" She ushered, "Plus its better now that I'm closer to the city, I don't have to get up as early for work and it's so cheap here."
She tutted back at her daughter, "I know, I know. I just want you to be safe that's all."
"I am." Was her quick reply as she studied around the place again in awe.
"Okay, well I'll let you go now, you need to sleep. It's late and you have work tomorrow."
Cora huffed, "Yep, that I do unfortunately. I'll ring you tomorrow then, love you."
"Love you darling." Her mum finished, slightly singing the last part.
Silence soon filled the spacious building once again and Cora was left to her own thoughts. Checking the time on her phone she decided it was too late to start unpacking and headed for the master bedroom.
Not wanting to waste any more precious time not sleeping, she lazily chucked her jacket onto the floor and covered herself with the musty sheets - presumably from the previous owners who had lived there.
With the little help of abrupt rainfall which was now patting softly against the large windows of her room and the soft glow from the bedside lamp, Cora quickly slipped into a deep slumber, still unaware of the eyes that had been watching her the entire time.

A/N: So yeah here's the first chapter. I did post this before but now that I like how it's turning out I decided to post it on my main account.
I like dark humour and have posted a fanfic similar to this and it didn't get much views hence why I was so hesitant with this one.
But I am happy with how it's turning out so far and I really do think my writing has improved.
I hope to make it a little funny sometimes so it won't all be serious but I also want it to be aesthetically pleasing so here's where I'm at lmao 🤷🏻♀️
