The curt winter air mixed with the dying breath of autumn bristled around Cora as she purposely held on tighter to her fresh cup of coffee; not only for warmth but in fear of dropping the fragile thing.
Although her love for sleep and staying in until twelve was a good way to spend her day, she could never escape the world fully... bringing her here. At Yongsan Station.
In fact, the coffee that she held onto so dearly wasn't even for her, she hated coffee but for some reason not yet known to her she was always given the tasks she never liked, including commuting the train to work each morning.
The platform was still bare of people, making her feel almost silly for being up at 5am but, unfortunately it was one of the requirements of her job.
A crimson sky above her complimented with a range of pinks and dark reds reminded her of a painting, although all she could think about in that moment was if her boss would be in a good mood today or not.
Taking a step closer towards the incoming train, she took a deep breath and hoped for herself that he would be.

Pulling at her polyester coat for comfort, Cora pushed past the other employees to the elevator, who too seemed to be in an irritated mood today.
Flashbacks of this mornings escapades flooded her mind as the familiar ting of the elevator doors signalled that it was time to exit. A shudder slithered down the back of her spine as she snapped herself out of her trance and took a step forward.
Finding no other reason but to put the whole scene down to stress, she pushed the stranger to the back of her mind for now and focused on not giving her boss a reason to fire her.
"Cora, you're on time for once." Spoke the condescending voice of her boss as she sauntered through the doubled-glazed glass doors of his office.
Biting her tongue from saying something snarky back, she forced a tight smile onto her features, "Of course Sir, I live closer now so it's easier for me."
Mr Jeon stood tall, his lean back which was facing Cora was arching to the shape of the wall comfortably as he gazed seriously out into the city of Seoul.
It was usual for him to be in a brooding mood, as if he had the weight of the world on his board shoulders and wanted everyone to suffer for it. It was also in his nature to be cocky 90% of the time he was in the office, although this was mostly due to his high paying position which was given to him at such a young age.
Cora couldn't blame him for being proud of his accomplishments, however that didn't mean she couldn't hate every second she was around him.
"Your coffee." She happily placed the drink down onto the coster with a thump, then tapped its lid in pride.
Jungkook nodded slightly, "Thanks."
Seeing as there was no other reason to be in his room anymore, she bowed calmly and began to leave.
"Wait."
She paused, "Yes Sir?"
"You have toothpaste on your blouse." He smirked, his reflection in the large bay windows reaching her eyes.
What?!
She looked down at her top in embarrassment, "How did you-"
He tilted his head, delaying her next few words, "Please go and find another shirt, having a secretary with mysterious stains walking around would make me the laughing stock of the company."
Her mouth gaped open, "O-of course Sir, sorry it won't happen again."
He hummed, "It better not."
Mentally scolding herself for not being more prepared, she rushed towards the door, hellbent on trying to make it to the bathroom before anyone else noticed.
This being said, Cora didn't make it far when the door unexpectedly swung open, causing her to collide into a hard chest.
She gasped loudly as a hot sticky liquid oozed down the other side of her blouse, it was only then that she acknowledged how attractive the person she had bumped into was.
Her cheeks flushed red.
"Oh, I am so sorry!" His plump lips apologised, grabbing her shoulders so that she maintained eye contact, "Are you okay? You're not burnt are you?"
Gulping, she shuck her head to say no.
"Thank god," he sighed, his heavenly breath brushing her face, "Are you Jungkook's secretary?"
She coughed, "Yes, Mr Jeon is my boss."
They must be close if he calls him by his first name, or maybe he has no respect for him?
"Well, I'm Park Jimin. Jungkook's work partner." He beamed, holding out his hand to shake.
Cora looked at it skeptically before shaking it, "Lee Cora, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Before either of them could continue, an irritated voice interrupted, "Jimin can you stop flirting with my secretary and get in here."
He chuckled at her awkwardly, "Sorry about your shirt again."
She bowed politely, "Don't worry, I was going to throw it out anyway."
Maybe coffee wasn't so bad after all?
A/N: This is kinda a filler chapter. Unfortunately, every chapter can't always be exciting but don't worry the next one will 😏
