The clouds above eventually parted their separate ways, hiding the sun from view and exposing the moon in her full glory.
The ancient constellations of the night sky blessed the rooftop of Cora's apartment as she opened the door only to find that Taehyung hadn't yet returned.
It was a weird feeling to know she had her own ghost, it was almost as if she had stumbled upon a rare pet and was forced to take care of it without knowing how.
She never signed up for this (well technically she did) but not for the ghost part.
She wondered if she would ever get used to the idea of someone else around considering she's been a loner for most of her life, but she hoped for her sake she wouldn't, especially if she did decide to call those people Hoseok suggested.
Trying to think nothing of it, she decided to draw herself a hot bath and have a well deserved relaxed evening - although, that is easier said than done.
Carefully grabbing her phone from the side of the bath, Cora scrolled through the list of numbers on her call log before clicking the one she wanted.
"Mum?" She smiled, ready to hear the pleasant voice of her mother down the other end of the line, "How are you?"
"Cora! I wondered when you were going to ring me... Are you ready to come home yet?" She tutted at her daughter.
Noting the fact she entirely ignored her previous question, Cora rolled her eyes, "I'm not coming home, I'm just ringing to chat to you!" She chirped.
Cora could hear the long sigh exit her mother's lips, "You don't need to pretend everything's alright with me dear, if you're scared because you're all alone out there just tell-"
It was only then that Cora finally noticed another presence in the room.
"Just tell her you're not alone, technically you aren't." Taehyung cooed whilst leaning seductively against the bathroom tiles.
"AHHH WHAT THE F-" She screamed, trying to cover up her private areas as much as she could, "GET OUT, I'M NAKED!"
"Naked? It all makes sense now, you have a boyfriend!" Her mother exclaimed excitedly down the line, although Cora ignored it.
Taehyung held up his hands in surrender before placing them over his eyes, "Its not like I haven't peeped on you before in the shower and you've pretended not to see me, but if that's how you want to play it then I'm game."
Her mouth gaped open, "What? When have you-" she stopped herself, "Taehyung your hands are see-through! You can still see me!"
He smirked.
"Taehyung? Is that what he's called?" Her mother asked, causing Cora to sigh dramatically.
"Look, I'm going to have to go. Love you bye." She deadpanned before ending the call.
Taehyung raised his brow, "That was a little harsh wasn't it?"
Cora growled, "That's it! You're going to regret the day you ever pissed me off Taehyung."
"I'd like to see you try baby." He leaned in closer to her.
A cold smile pulled at her lips as she stared back at his intense gaze, "Challenge accepted, roommate."
Taehyung's POV
He's going to set the fire alarm off.
It's been more than hour since this guys been spreading sage and bible quotes around the apartment and guess what?
That's right, I'm still here.
Apparently it was someone called Hoseok's idea to do this, if I had my way I would invite him around to show him that some herbs and words can't take me away that easily.
I began to causally stroll towards Cora; who may I add has been staring daggers at me for the past couple of hours.
"In all seriousness," I called to her, "It was a good plan, but unfortunately Ghost Busters don't exist."
She glared at me before turning to the priest, "More over here please."
I scoffed as the priest scrambled over to my area, bombarding me with smoke and verses, "You know he's going to set the alarm off, right?"
I see her eyes move warily up to the smoke alarm between the mist of sage before drilling back down onto me, "Nice try." She mocked.
I cringed, "Literally any minute no-"
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.
"Oh for fucks sake." I heard her yell before ushering out our guests.
I clapped my hands in amusement as they quickly rushed out, "Well that was fun to witness."
Cora nodded at me, "Oh, I'm not finished yet." She smirked evilly.
I frowned.
What else could there be?
As if someone heard my thoughts, a light knock echoed at the door.
I watched curiously as Cora happily hopped over to open it, revealing a face I've never seen before.
She turned to me, "Taehyung, meet Hoseok."
A/N: Hey guys, sorry for the slightly short chapter and the gif. It's a bigger size than I usually use for these chapters but for some reason it wouldn't shrink this time so I used it at the very end instead. Also sorry if I didn't use the correct terminology for some parts, especially when Cora is trying to clean the room of spirits. I'm not really good when it comes to religion, I get confused with certain things so I apologise if I got it wrong.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter, I tried to make it as funny as possible without going over the top lol.
I cringed at myself when I wrote baby ekekekeke I hate that kind of stuff.
Also the next chapter will be in Cora's POV like usual.
