Miguel began to play while he stood smiling brightly. His dimples shown like as he was alive as he continued to play for me and change notes smoothly. I listened to the song as my robot danced away to. His bony fingers strummed the cords with grace, leaving the petals to make mirage that he was alive in the skin he was meant to have. My heart kept racing and straining as Miguel continued. Soon the mirage fell as Miguel's hand popped off jumping on my shoulder. Miguel laughed as I stood "Pardon my enthusiasm" a smile spread on my face like butter "I like your Enthusiasm" I popped his hand back in as I leaned in to kiss his lips. It made me feel so happy inside to have his kiss back even without lips.

Soon both me and Miguel both headed back to the group our fingers intertwined with the others. Every skeleton there was clapping for us only to be interrupted by a spirit, It was a woman (La Muerte the Goddess of the land of the remembered: Miguel told me). She talked in a calm soothing voice leaving me shaking "Hello Miguel Rivera why I see you found a boy to break your curse" Miguel seemed angry as he replied, "Yes I have Hiro has fallen in love with me before the last leave falls from the tree". I smiled pulling Miguel by his waist closer to me, she began to speak once more "Miguel you know you can't return to the land of the living with Hiro till after the 3 trials" my head started to spin no one had ever told me anything about 3 trials.

Words bounced back and forth in my head confusing me. "Miguel, what trials?" I asked my head searing Miguel grasped my arms sitting me down on a bench. Miguel paced while La Muerte looked impatiently at me "Hiro my dear boy the three trials are the only way you and Miguel can leave without a curse being placed on your families for generations." Proclaimed the goddess stopping my head from spinning. Hector piped up "Well Hiro you see the trials are Song, Courage, and Test. Song being the last trial in which you use only a song, to sum up how you feel about the person. Courage is the second trial in which you save them from your worst nightmare. And Test being the first trial where you answer questions about the person. I know those sound easy, but La Muerte always has the god of the forgotten judge the song causing anyone who ever tried to be stuck down here forever." I bit my lip Hector was right those didn't sound easy. Though I was scared and nervous I looked La Muerte right in the eyes and said "I'm ready to do your trials, Goddess! For I would do anything to keep Miguel from ever showing any sign of sadness ever again." With those words off my lips, the Goddess left only leaving a piece of paper behind with this on it.

Only Hiro is allowed to step into the ring when called
The test will be done as a game show esk and graded as so
Courage will be graded by skill and technique
And Song will be judged on voice and rhythm
Your trials start tomorrow
