I woke up in Miguel's arms warm and content. I didn't want to move, but I had to go look over the song I slowly moved Miguel's arm off me and replaced it with a pillow. Then I slowly snuck out to one of the balconies and looked over the song. The last time I heard it Tadashi and Honey lemon Where dancing to it at their wedding. I remember even then that it was one of the most beautiful songs I had ever heard, that day gave me the courage to find someone for myself so I started to softly sing it.

I finished up and looked towards the pink spilled sky mixing with the purple hues of the left over night. I was quite unsure how to feel as my heart beat softly in my chest "What if Miguel and I find out we don't really love each other? What if Aunt Cass doesn't like him? What if he was only lying with the way he acts?" Then I heard footsteps.
Imelda came out to the balcony with the biggest smile "Hiro I wasn't expecting so much worry from you" I tried to interject but couldn't. She sat on the bench "Why do you worries so dear?" I bit my lip and re charted my worries to the elder skeleton. She smiled "You know my husband Hector had the same doubts when we got married, he thought there was a chance the person he loved was a monster. I wasn't I was the same kind, young, bright, happy girl he married" I relaxed just as Miguel got onto the balcony. Miguel yawned as he walked over to hold my hand "What's going on out here?" I chuckled kissing my husband's cheek "Oh just chatting with Mama Imelda" I quickily heard a gong ring out.

That gong had started the final challenge. I watched in the area I was designated for as the stands filled in finally La Muerte took her seat with King Xibalba (Zi-bal-ba). Before I could even hear the music play, Kubo was standing in the middle of the arena on a pedestal "This is what happens," La Muerte's voice somehow calmly boomed "When you fail Hamada boy! Your skin is rotted right off your bones and you die above. This boy Kubo was took as a runner for your trials to save the Rivera from his curse. Yet this boy failed trying to sing this trial. He was stuck down here with a lover who threw him out when he failed, win your freedom or you love will be gone." She finally said as Kubo returned to his place in the stands. I heard the music chime in and I began to sing out louder than on that balcony

I looked to Miguel and acted as if the entire world was gone and it was just us. I imagined us dancing together in a ballroom like kings, I saw some of the most romanic things in history, I saw my brother and Honey Lemon dancing just like on their wedding day.

The crowd appeared to me again as the final words left my mouth. Then I heard it the two gods clapping, each time they're hands hit together thunder stuck, finally all the crowd joined in clapping in unison it was like the first time I kissed Miguel all over again. Miguel ran up next to me as a portal opened, it was made of Marigolds and the center showed the real world again. When I look at him, Miguel had his human skin again. I kissed his finally smooth real lips in a moment of pure bliss, the musician picked me up like a bride and carried me through the portal as his familia clapped and waved goodbye. We finally were right where we belonged. The blue sky shone down on us as we walked hand and hand home. Maybe love is strange, yet it makes you feel truly alive.
