Foxy's POV

Freddy finally let us all off the hook after helping to clean up the pizzeria. The entire job alone took three hours. I could have had my ship cleaned and swept in less...

I go back to my cove and yawn, metal joints clicking in protest at the different angle. I walk over to my hammock and I'm about to lay down when I hear gentle breathing. Looking down I notice Ace asleep in my hammock, her breathing deep and gentle. I smile then carefully shift the hammock. I adjust Ace to where she was laying next to me comfortably. She shifted closer to me a gentle smile on her face.

I gently brush my fingers through her hair, careful to not let it get caught in the joints of my fingers. She looked so...happy here. Contrary to how she normally looks when she's awake. She always seemed closed off and wary of us. Mary says it has to do with her past, but even she doesn't know what actually happened to her. None of us really do. I yawn again realizing how tired I was. Freddy gave us the rest of the night off, including Ace considering she was still recovering, but he said to keep it down.
I gently rock the hammock then close my eye, going into my sleep setting, Ace still sleeping next to me.

-Ace's Dream-

'RUN! GET OUT OF THERE!' My thoughts screamed at me, every fiber, every emotion told me to run. I couldn't...I couldn't move...my eyes were locked onto the scene a few feet below me unable to do anything to stop it from happening...

The sounds...I wouldn't be able to forget them. First, it was my mother's scream. That high pitched, stomach twisting scream as she took her final breaths, then collapsed onto the floor. My father, who was now crying at this point, ran to my mother's side and tried urging her to wake up. An unknown voice said something, and the gleam of the knife caught my attention again, as the figure pulled my father up and drove the knife into him. It happened several times until my father stopped speaking...

Red...so much red...it coated the walls, the floor...even the bottom steps of the stairs. And in the middle of it all, someone in purple...

The purple man seemed to stop in their tracks. Not moving, and not breathing. Just standing in the mess of everything.

I clutched my teddy bear to my chest, my other hand on the floor. I peered down to the living room from the top step of the stairs, looking between the wooden bars.

Tears ran down my cheeks as I tried stifling my sobs so I wouldn't be found. A sob got caught in my throat and I hiccuped. The man in purple stood up straighter, then cocked his head to the side. He turned around and locked eyes with me. Pale glowing purple eyes bore into my own. The man turned and started walking towards the stairs, heavy footsteps echoing in the now quiet room.

I panicked...being just a mere 6 years old I didn't fully understand what was happening. Mom and Dad would just wake up, right? T-They has too...they- I stopped my thoughts seeing the man in purple only a few feet from me now. He was humming a tune but I couldn't place what it was. He began walking up the stairs, a big knife in his hand. He gently swung it at his side as he continued humming, his eyes never leaving my form.

I tried to move back, pushing myself away from the purple man but he grabbed my ankle with his hand and pulled me back towards him. I screamed, but the noise was cut off by the man taking his hand and wrapping it around my small neck. His pale purple eyes stared into my own.

They were so...empty. Like they had no emotion behind them. Then the look shifted. It was something evil, something so unpleasantly dark...

The purple man had his knife pressed to my frail form, aimed straight for my stomach. I could feel the sharp tip threatening to go through but, then he stopped. He stopped squeezing my neck, dropping me to the floor. I yelped at the contact then coughed harshly trying to regain my lost breath.

"Not today sweet little Ace...oh how I wish I could have more time with you...but no. There are much worse things planned for you now. You won't die..." The man rose up, then slowly walked back down the stairs. Across the living room. Down the small entrance hallway, and out the door. The same tune being quietly hummed as he went.

I stayed on the floor unable to comprehend what had happened, only being able to focus on the pain I felt, and the phrase the purple man said to me:

"You won't die..."

-End of Dream-

Ace's POV

I woke up with a start, my breathing heavy and panicked. I wish I could have said it was a nightmare, but no. Not this particular dream. This was a memory. A memory that I refused to let run around the surface and become a talking matter. Because that memory is the last memory I have of seeing my parents alive...

I feel something shift next to me making my body tense. I realize Foxy is sleeping next to me, which draws a quiet, relieved sigh from me. He had an arm loosely wrapped around my waist. It was...comforting. I turned slightly to face him more directly studying his sleeping figure. I again saw his figure shift from being an animatronic to a human. Just like how I saw him in the hospital earlier. He looked peaceful. Course that's how he always seemed to look. Calm and collected, like he had a plan for what he wanted to do. I found myself shifting closer to him, searching for more of the comforting and protected feeling I got from being around him. My eyes start to drop closed, sleepiness clouding my head once more. A ribbon of fear laced around me, just barely holding me out of sleep's grasp. I was scared to fall back asleep because most of my dreams turned into looped versions of nightmares. After a few minutes, I managed to get myself to listen to the soft hum of Foxy's internal mechanisms. In turn, I slipped into a peaceful, dreamless sleep. And if I was going to be honest...it was the best sleep I had gotten in several years.
