ATHENA

A DAY HAD GONE BY since the incident with the fifth year.

I had woke up on and early Saturday waiting for the sun to come up when James stumbled in the room, he didn't notice me, and fell on the bed besides me.

"Where were you?" He looked up shocked to see me
"Nowhere" he mumbled into the pillow.

"Tell me, or not, I'm good at keeping secrets.

"It's none of your business" he looked up and glared at me "Just kill me already" I laid down again and began to close my eyes when I noticed James was making his way towards the bathroom looking very sick.

"James?" I heard grunting and then him puking. "Alohomora" The door opened to reveal a James puking in the toilet with half closed eyes.

"You've been drinking" I said closing the door after me, kneeling down I could see the puke in the toilet. "Okay now that's disgusting" I looked away and rubbed his back.

"Nobody asked for your help" He spat, "oh trust me I know already" Chuckling I wiped his mouth with paper and tossed it in the garbage can.

"What did you drink, fire whiskey?" He nodded. "Why did you drink, or was it just for fun?" He stood up, washed his mouth and brushed his teeth.

"Drinking is the easiest way to numb the pain" James shrugged and walked passed me. Then proceeded to lay down on his side of the bed again.

"Well you're welcome" I laid next to him making sure I was on the very edge and began closing my eyes yet again.

Before my eyes closed I heard a distance "thank you" next to me.

"So How did the date go?" I had asked Christina in Herbology "it went great, we drank butter beer, went to honey dukes, and then we just walked around and" she paused.

"He kissed me!" We both squealed. "Oh my gosh" then the lesson continued with me and Chris Squealing and dying in our seats.

Eventually we went to lunch were we sat with James and Garret since we had to and Christina wanted to meet Garret.

I sat there and ate as I watched them do couples stuff.

"Well, What are you guys planning on your future?" I asked Christina and Garret.

"Oh we were thinking to just move to a house and have children I guess" Garret looked at Christina as they both nodded. A wave of sadness and happiness went through me as they laughed, kissed and said I love you to each other.

"Must be nice being in love" I rested my head on my hands with a sigh.

Out of the corner of my eyes I think I saw James look over at me.

"I'm gonna head out, have a nice day" Christina and Garret smiled at me as I walked out.

I went to different classes before I went to the black lake, I had sat there until it got dark.

Just when I was about to leave I saw a kid get bullied by some fifth years I recognized.

"Oi, leave her alone would ya!" I shouted and walked over there.

I glared at the fifth years making them scared and run away.

"Thank you" the red hair girl mumbled when I picked up her books from the ground and gave them to her.

"It's no big deal, come on" I grabbed her hand and led her "What year are you in?" She looked kinda familiar. "Third how 'bout you?" She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Seventh, what's your name?" I asked letting go of her hand "Lily, Lily Potter" she smiled "I'm Athena, Athena Scamander" I smiled back.

"Wait" she stopped walking "You're Lysander's sister!" She exclaimed "and you're my brothers fiancé"

"Well, first of all yes I am Lorcan and Lysanders sister, and i wouldn't say fiancé more like fake girlfriend but either way it's nice knowing I'm gonna have a sister by law" I chuckled when she beamed up and down and began catching up with me again.

"So how's it like?" She looked down "hows what?" She looked at the people passing by "being in love" She finally answered.

"Oh trust me little one, I am not in love" She looked at me surprisingly "well if your not in love why are you marrying my brother?" Lily was too confused nobody had told her. "You haven't heard, there's a new law called the marriage law, it forces seventh years to get married" I told her.

"Oh so that's why" she smiled sadly.

We continued to talk as we went up to the Ravenclaw tower- I had just then found out she was a Ravenclaw, just like me-

"What gets broken without being held?" The Eagle Asked.

"A promise" Lily answered.

"You're smart little one" I chuckled and ruffled her hair making her pout.

As we walked in we saw James sitting by the fireplace his eyes almost closed but he blinked, indicating that he was tired.

"You should go to sleep" I leaned on the wall "Your not the boss of me" he glared at me and stood up "Don't be rude" Lily frowned making James glare at me.

"When did you come here" he looked confused "I came here with Athena" she pointed a finger at him
"Now be nice to her she saved me from a lot of bruises" she smiled at me and said "good night" which I responded with a smile.

When she had walked into her dormitory I started to make my way upstairs with a sleepy James following me.

I was sleeping in my bed when I heard whimpers from besides me which woke me up.

"James?" I whispered since the others where still sleeping considering it was two in the morning.

I put on a silencing charm and moved closer to him. He had tears streaming down his face and was muttering things like "don't leave me" "Please stay" and "It's all my fault".

His tears came down faster.

"James wake up" I shook him gently making him move around still crying and muttering words.

"James it's okay, your okay" i shook him again making him gasp and bolt up.

"What do you want?" He spat. "You obviously don't notice your tears, do you" He began wiping the tears away.

He laid down again and shut his eyes closed as tears began running down his cheek.

"Hey, it's okay" I whispered and wiped away his tears.

For the rest of the night I ran my fingers through his hair and whispering things in his ear making him fall asleep faster.
