You and your friends were walking  home just getting out from school Michelle thought it would be a good idea to walk the long way

Leading into the white neighborhood as you guys were walking you guys got mean mugged

But the thing that ticked you off was when these three white boys were sitting on the stairs leading up to there apartment called you guys out

" What you niggers doing in are neighborhood?" One of the boys say making the other boys chuckle

" How bout you leave us alone " Michelle says smartly as you and Barbara look at her like she's crazy

" Michelle let's go I told you this was a ba- " you got cut off by one off them yanking Barbara's ribbon out of her hair

" stop please we didn't mean to cause any trouble " you say looking down at your socks

" Looks like one of them as manner's right Derek?" The boy says

" Yeah sure does also a fat as- " he gets cut off by a white woman yelling at them telling them to come up stairs for lunch

" Bye ladies " one of them say  spitting at Michelle

But Derek looks at you like he was sorry but you looked away quickly then started to walk

" Michelle I told you that was a bad idea " you say looking at her

" I know I don't know what I was thinking " she says

" But wasn't they cute " Barbara says outta the blue you guy's being to laugh

" Yeah kinda " you say smiling

****The next day****

" Let's go back " Michelle says

" No Michelle did you see what he did to Barbara " you say concerned

" But-" you cut her off

" No buts let's go the short way " you say

" Speaking of the devil " Barbara says

You see the boys on the other side of the street they see you guys and run towards you

You all run separate ways you hide behind a car looking as Barbara got caught few minutes later you did Michelle did too

" Where's the other nigger at" one of them say

You back up bumping into something you turn around to see Derek he covers your mouth

" shhh I won't hurt you " he says uncovering your mouth

" I'm sorry bout yesterday we aren't like this at all it's just that if any folks of mine see us being nice around y'all we would be tortured" he says

" I fought her she was hiding behind a car " he says pushing you a little

" Let us fucking go " Michelle says pushing the boy that has a hold of her arm

" She's a  feisty one" he says smiling

" Just let us go " Barbara says looking down as shy as if you had hundreds of people watching you

" It's ok baby doll " he says rubbing her cheek

" Can you please let us go " you say looking behind trying to look at him

" We're just having fun let's take em to the spot " Derek says

" Yeah they'd like that " one of the boys say

They walk in and sit down on a couch then smiling at us

" We're sorry we're nothing like it's just complicated  my name's Greg " the curly headed boy says

" I'm Nate and that's Derek " the boy with the slick back hair style

" I'm y/n that's Barbara and that Michelle " you say

" Your really pretty" Greg says to Barbara as she blushes

" Thank you " Barbara says

" You guys what a Coke or something?" Nate says

" Sure" you say walking over to the record player and play music

You turn around to see Derek looking at you  but he quickly looks away

Nate hands everyone cokes as everyone opens them but for some reason your just didn't want to open

You look around to see Nate talking to Michelle and Greg talking to Barbara

You didn't want to disturb them from their convocation so you just keep trying to open it

You we're getting really irritated till Derek came over and help you open it

" Thank you" you say smiling then drinking your coke

" Your welcome " he says smiling causes you to blush a little

" So what school do you go to?" He says

" Why do you wanna Kno" you say looking into his eyes for the first time

" No reason " he says smiling

" Wanna dance?" He says smiling

" No I can't reall-" you get cut off by him pulling you softly then spinning you around as you  holds your waist

" Your so beautiful" he whispers in your ear making you feel some type of way

" Thank you" you say blushing looking down

" I think we should go " you say getting your books

" Come on girls" you say as you open the door for them as they walk out
