"We've got to tell him, Maka." Soul insisted once again, already heading out of the classroom.

"We can't, Soul!" Maka argued, blocking his way. "It'll kill him!"

Twenty minutes ago, Soul had been laying down on one of the desks in Professor Stein's room lazily, thinking about food and what-not. Maka had made him stay with her as she studied, 'just in case'. He couldn't blame her too much, though; Stein wasn't all there in the head.

As he started sinking deeper and deeper into boredom, he had made a huge discovery. It was one so painfully obvious, he just wondered how he had not saw it before. In fact, how had no one else noticed it before?

When he told Maka, she frowned thoughtfully, agreeing with him. That is, until he decided he wanted to break the news to the boy it pertained to.

She was most likely right, though Soul would never admit it. If he ever found out about Soul's discovery, he would probably die of a heart attack right then and there.

Still, it had to be done. The boy couldn't keep going on in ignorance. The way Soul saw it, it was better for a friend to break the news than a random stranger.

"We have to, Maka! It's for the best!" Soul declared, managing to slip past her.

Sprinting, he headed towards the area he knew the boy was at currently, Maka hot on his heels with her book already out. If she managed to ever catch him and chop him in the head with it, he might end up getting knocked out and forgetting his goal. It's happened before.

Going out of the school, Soul passed Black Star, who was training with Tsubaki.

"Whatcha doin', Soul?!" He called out, waving his hand high over his head.

"I gotta tell him!" He yelled back, Maka catching up. If he didn't hurry, she would get him before he would arrive.

Black Star, of course, decided to follow them. He easily caught up to Soul, while Tsubaki trailed behind beside Maka. "Tell who, what?" Black Star asked.

Grinning a bit, Soul whispered quietly into Black Star's ear. Black Star's eyes widened, double their size, a wicked grin spreading across his face. This is gonna be AWESOME! He cheered in his mind, already imagining his reaction.

"I'll try and distract Maka!" Black Star said. He was willing to sacrifice himself for their goal; it was, no doubt, going to be worth it.

As Soul charged on, Black Star slowed down a bit and yelled to Tsubaki. "Tsubaki! Smoke Bomb!" He ordered expectantly.

Tsubaki had been filled in at the same time Black Star had been and agreed with Maka completely. The boy would be devastated to hear what Soul had to say.

Hesitantly, she called back, "Sorry, Black Star! But I can't! We shouldn't tell him!"

Growling, Black decided to just lunge at Maka. It was very clumsy, so she dodged it. Soul did get another foot ahead though, so it wasn't a complete waste. Black Star raced to catch up with everyone, heart pumping with excitement.

Soul arrived two minutes later at the training area. The boy had mentioned he was going there to train a little, though it's not like he needed it.

Lunging through the underbrush, Soul saw Kid, aiming at trees with Liz and Patty in weapons form.

"Kid!" He shouted, jumping in front of him.

Kid put Liz and Patty down, pointing them at the ground. Slouching, he looked at Soul curiously. "What's wrong?"
