Finny was in a pinch. Sure, he had messed up things before, but this time he wasn't sure he would be forgiven. Hell, he couldn't even forgive himself.

He was a monster for killing such a beauty.

It had all started about an hour ago, when the Young Master and Sebastian had come back from one of their trips. He had been standing at the door along with the rest of the staff, anxiously awaiting their arrival. This time, the two had been gone much longer than usual and all four of the staff members had missed them.

"Welcome back, Young Master!" The three coherent staff members chorused, while Tanaka had just chuckled happily.

Instead of his usual nod, he had just glared at the four. They froze under his stare, shaking. It was obvious the trip had not gone well, and they would most likely have to deal with his bad mood for the next few days. He was an amazing master, but they all couldn't help but be wary of his anger and his impulses.

"How have things managed while I was away?" Ciel inquired, voice tinged with annoyance.

"Jus' fine!" Bard announced, refusing to meet Ciel's eyes.

The Young Master merely nodded, not noticing Bard's behavior, and started heading up the staircase. "I will be in my office working. Don't bother me." He ordered, not looking back.

As he left, Sebastian cleared his throat, demanding their attention. "Bard, you go and clean the kitchen. Mey-rin, start to clean up all of the broken dishes. And Finnian, I have a new plant for the garden."

"W-what're you talkin' 'bout?" Bard stuttered, rubbing the back of his head nervously.

"Yeah! W-we kept e-everything clear h-here." Finny mumbled, not looking Sebastian in the eye. Mey-rin squeaked meekly, blushing.

Sebastian raised an eye brow at them, smirking. "Oh, really? So if I were to go look, I would not find anything out of order?"

Mey-rin and Bard had sprinted away before he finished his sentence. They had hoped that they would be able to get some extra time to clean everything up without anyone else knowing, but obviously that was not going to happen. They just hope Sebastian wouldn't punish them.

Finny went to run off and attempt to salvage the garden when Sebastian stopped him. "Finnian! I haven't given you the new plant yet."

Pausing, Finny turned and grinned sheepishly. "Heheh, sorry Sebasitan."

Without a word, Sebastian bent down and picked up one of the bags they had brought home. Opening it, he pulled out one of the most beautiful plants Finny had ever seen in his life.

It was a purple Rose. Each petal looked as delicate as a tissue, and the stem was curved with a few thorns on it. If he didn't know otherwise, he would have assumed someone had spent their entire life sculpting it, and then some.

Strangely, though, the pot it was in was covered in scratch marks, ash and what looked like blood. Also, the dirt appeared as if it had not been watered in forever.

"Wow, Sebastian! It's amazin'. Are you sure you want me to plant it?" He asked timidly, hesitating to grab a hold of it.

"Of course. You are the perfect person for the job." Sebastian stated, shoving the Rose into Finny's hands with a smirk. The second he saw that the blonde had a good grip on it, he left to begin the lengthy job of cleaning up after all of the idiots.

Looking down at the Rose, Finny gulped. If he messed this one up, there was no chance that he would be left with a warning like usually.  Face tightening with determination, Finny began the hard job of planting the perfect Rose perfectly.
