The darkness of the room confuse me as I open my eyes and sit back on the bed.
I throw my hands here and there to find the bed empty. Kartik's gone. Then everything that happened earlier starts to unfold in my mind. Plastered on my face is a big smile.
I rub my eyes and turn on the side lamp. I look at the time and it's four in the morning. Oh my God! I slept for so long! But yes, tomorrow is the big event, the engagement.
About that, I'm very nervous. I mean, isn't it too early for this? Whatever it is, if that makes Kartik happy, I'm happy. Moreover, it's not that I don't want to marry him in the future.
After hitting the gym for 3 hours, I drive back to my place. As I reach inside, my phone starts to ring.

I drive to the spa and find my cousins waiting there for me.
"See, Deepika came!" One of cousins inform the others and they all come to me. After several hugs and kisses, we enter to the spa and I see Anjali sitting on one of the seats. She greets me as she sees me and I introduce her to my cousins.

We spent almost the whole day in the spa and I'm feeling very relaxed. I mean the massages made me feel quite loosening. I think now I've got the energy I need for tomorrow.
Kartik has not messaged me since morning nor I heard anything from him. I decided to text him first but later denied as I thought he might be busy today like me and I didn't want to disturb him.
I reach home and see that the decorations are taking place in the presence of mom and dad. They both see me and we spend some together.
My phone beeps and I look that it's a text from Kartik.
Kartik - Hey sweetheart! How are you? Actually I've been very busy lately and could not message you. But I miss you. Love you Kartik
And this small message warms my heart. Like its so beautiful that you have someone who cares about you and wants to see you. Not like any other men I've interacted with before.
