Usually I've my own perks of being Deepika Sharma but when it comes to Kartik, I don't know what happens. There are many moments in our life when we feel so elated. Usually, I have had such a moment when I made my parents proud of myself.

Though here we are talking about Kartik and this one kiss sorry, excuse me, my very first kiss which has changed everything.

I was very shocked at first but then Kartik's soft lips pressed against mine and everything inside me melted. I was feeling like falling down and crying but Kartik held me by my waist. My hands automatically went upwards to his neck and encircled my arms around him pulling him closer. The kiss started soft and sweet but as I started to give myself into him, the need for being with each other grew and it grew to be more passionate. He bit my lower lip and I gave out a moan I never imagined I could. I felt him smiling against me clearly enjoying that. But as we are humans, the need of oxygen made us pull apart.

I was still feeling jitters of electricity through my body. And most of all I was feeling so shy. My hands automatically made their way to my lips where Kartik had his. And I smiled. I smiled.

Kartik's soft hand lifted up my chin and he was again near to me. He looked into my eyes. And I was already mesmerized by their beauty and they held me captive.

"Woah!" Kartik exclaims and keeps his forehead against mine.

A grin spreads across my face and I look at him.

"That was... " I begin.

"The most amazing, extraordinary and one spectacular moment of my life." Kartik mimics.

"Probably more than that." I say.

His left thumb brushes my lower lip and his eyes zero at my lips. He again nears me and we kiss each other.

"So you mean you are going to marry Kartik because of some reason you just told us?" Anjali asks.

We are sitting at the Super Cafe and and of course, Anjali and Kabir were really suspicious when we were late. Then Kartik build up a very nice excuse I can't remember.

"Yes, and you need to be by my side all the time. Mom and Dad are away inviting guests." I tell them.

"Oh my God! There's a lot to do! I've to buy clothes, I've to help you get ready, boost some confidence in you and blah blah!" Anjali says and we all chuckle.

"But Dee, on a serious note, are you ready for this?" Kabir asks me straight in my eyes. He knows he has hit the nail right on the head because I freeze. I freeze and all I can see is Kabir's smirk and nothing else.

"Yes!?" My voice comes out as a question more to myself.

"Dee! Don't lie. We all know you inside out and I know how you dug your nails in my right arm when you had to ask your parents for a night stay at my place. And you even scraped out my skin in front of my parents. If you are not ready, tell us. At least we would help you by not allowing people to interact much with you." Anjali says.

I try to dig out the memory and yes, that comes to my mind. I was very nervous to ask my parents if I could stay for a night at Anjali's.

"Guys, it's not about me being ready, it's just that I don't know if I'll be able to stand against the expectations of his parents."

"Deepika! You are so strong then why do you keep underestimating yourself? You will surely rock everything. You are the only one who my parents want as their daughter in law." Kartik states.

As I am about to speak, his phone rings and his face turns hard and rocky.

"I've to go." Kartik says in a small voice and leaves. What the hell? How can he leave like that? Well, we all also decide to retreat back to our works since nobody is talking and we are just passing the time. Anjali drops me at my place.

I see a bunch of media standing there waiting at my front door, why? I walk near them as they are very less in number. I pose for a few pics.

"Ma'am! Are you going for a debut in Sanjay Leela's Film written by you?" She asks. I smile a small smile, "That's like a dream come true. But I don't wanna make any official announcement regarding that right now. Surely when time comes, it reveals everything." I say softly and start walking my way inside the house.

"Ma'am, one last question!" A lady reporter pleads so I turn around. They are very less in number so I'm feeling quite comfortable.

"Yes?" I turn around.

"What would you like to say about the relationship between you and Kartik?"

A wide smile is across my face as I hear his name. I can even feel the blush coming to me.

"We... We... Both... You know, share a very close relationship with each other. Our families are also very close. And I've spent my entire childhood with him, so.. I can say that I know him to some deeper extent of life. But let's see, what time has for us!" I say and after thanking them all, I go inside. I giggle to myself as I think again about the words I said. I know it's going to create a huge fuss about us but I don't care because that's the truth.

I have known him for a long time. Our families are close. I haven't lied anywhere. But yes, about knowing him deeply, I've never thought about it. Heck Deepika! How can you be so selfish? You need to know him inside out if you are to spend your whole life with him. Okay, I'm going to ask him to tell me about himself a little deeply. He has seen me at my worst and has still managed to handle such a piece of shit so elegantly.

"Kartik! I've got you! And I'm not letting you go. Tonight, everything will change. I'm going to tell you something I've wanted to since days." I say to myself as an image of him flashes in my mind. (Sorry guys shout-outs will be in next chapter)
