We both have our orders and sat down in silence. It is good to know that he knows that I struggled. Maybe he'll have some pity for me and then he'll apologize for doing everything in the childhood.

I felt Kartik's one more annoying expression when the song played was 'Back Bone'

I started to sing out along the lyrics. And dancing our way through Connaught Place.

"Don't you think people will miss my sensation of hearing, if I'll go deaf? Shut. Down. Your. Voice." He said annoyingly and I stifled a laugh.

I switched off the radio and glanced at Kartik before focussing on the road.

"I am not that bad!" I said.

"Ya, until you sing." He said rolling his eyes.

After more taunts on my voice and a few more moments, we reached our destination.

We got down the car and I locked it.

"So, basically why are we here?" He asked in a curious voice.

"Just wait!" I chirped. I don't know why but I was suddenly lifted up to a good mood.

"Oh.... See who's here!!!" Squealed Surbhi, one of my script writing friends.

"Hi!" I squealed equally excitedly.

"Oh. My. God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Surbhi yelled in awe as she saw Kartik coming into view.

Hearing her voice, the others also came into the entrance of the cafe where these people were enjoying their break.

"Hey Deeps! What a surprise! And see who we have got here! Kartik Aaryan! Welcome Beta." Sanjay Sir said hugging me and then a handshake and hug with Kartik.

I was pulled aside by Surbhi. "Oh My God Deepika, how did you get him here? Are you both dating? Mmm Hmm?" She asked with a smirk.

"What? Dating? Very funny! Haha!!" I said, deadpan dripping from my mouth.

"Are you mad? Why would we date? We're just friends." I told her in an obvious voice.

What's wrong with everyone thinking this? We're NOT DATING!!! I think I need to shove this one thing in their minds as soon as possible.

"Oh Common! He obviously likes you. I saw him for the first time here and I can still tell. Are you not gonna accept him? Just look into his eyes. The way he looked at you when S sir hugged you." She said.

What's with everyone telling me that he likes me? Grow up, man!

After spending some good time there and asking for the dates of shoot, we head back to home. It's again empty and I don't know what the heck are Kabir and Diya doing.

I settle back into my room. I really don't know where's Kartik and I don't wanna know. I have changed into comfortable clothes.

I take out my laptop and confirm all the dates of the shoot. Okay, I'll tell you how the movies I script work. This is a really simple process. I've to do nothing but just exist at the place of shoot. My job is to tell the hero what I want from him in a particular scene. My writings are usually indirect and so these people are not able to get the point sometimes. So thats the point of being at that place.

I know it may sound absurd but I like it that way.

Here I'm on my bed looking at the ceiling, thinking nothing. Laptop's kept aside and phone is on the side table. The box Kartik gave me still stands on the dressing table.
