During a rainy day, Sebastian brings up the glow in the dark stars they'd bought for Elizabeth. Sebastian had been working diligently to try and get back in contact with Andrew, but the warlock was proving very difficult to find. So their days at the moment were spent with leisure as they make sure no one leaves the house. Sebastian had tried, once, and Elizabeth had freaked out.
("Sebastian, please, they know I'm here! They know that you've all been protecting me. What if they hurt you? Or take you? You can't leave, you can't, please. I don't want you to go!"
She was quick to break down into tears that no one could seem to calm her from. They'd never seen her like this before. For as much as she would loathe to go back herself, the worst case scenario would always be one of them being taken or killed. She wouldn't let that happen. She wouldn't.)
"Would you like to put these up now?" He asks, a smile on his face as he holds up a package of the stars.
Elizabeth grins from where Remington is reading her a book, snuggled up on the couch together. She shoots up from her sitting position leaned against Remingtons side with her head on his shoulder. The scar on her lip stretched with the excited movement.
"Can we?" She exclaims, shoving off the blanket they'd been sitting under and standing up.
Remington watches her go with a fond smile on his face, bookmarking the page they were on and standing up as well. Emerson walks in, some clear tape in hand and a smirk on his lips. "I heard we're finally putting up those glow in the dark stars."
"Where would you like to put them? The rest of us can put them up too, if you'd like." Sebastian remarks, handing Elizabeth one of the packages.
She takes it, walking over to the stairs. "Where- where should we put them?" She asks hesitantly.
'They'd look very nice along the bottom of the stairs, or along the wall as you ascend or descend.' Andy comments, giving his two cents.
Elizabeth takes into consideration what Andy says, deciding once Remington gives his opinion on the matter. That opinion being to put the stars on both places of the stairs.
"Can we put them on the stairs?" Elizabeth asks, to which Sebastian replies, "Wherever you want them."
"Will we have enough?" Emerson asks, careful not to let Eliza hear.
Remington leans over towards him to reply just as quietly, "We bought way more than we probably should've when her back was turned. I think we're fine."
Elizabeth grins, ripping open the package as shadows curl gently along her hands and arms. Emerson moves over to her as she begins placing the stars along the wall. She moves around to different spots, never keeping a distinct pattern. Emerson comments gently, with a fond air about him, "You flit around a like a bird, here and in battle."
She looks up at him from where she's pasting a big star on one of the risers of the staircase, a humorously confused expression on her countenance. "I mean that fondly, birdie." Emerson smirks, handing over bits of tape so the star pieces will stick to the walls and risers better.
She smiles then, all teeth as shadows mist in her hair and her eyes scrunch, standing up suddenly to hug Emerson. "I noticed you've called me that once or twice but never thought to ask why."
Remington and Sebastian laugh from their spots watching idly. Andy smiles, though no one knows it, glad that the vampires, whose lives he had shoved his way into, take such good care of the girl he loves. Andy takes a moment to recollect. He's rather fond of Remington now too, but that is such an underwhelming word for how he feels for the man. Elizabeth was that bridge they needed to connect with each other even after a good few years with moderate hostility between them, not to mention the severe miscommunication. Not that Andy doesn't get it, he's a demon that forced his way into Remington's body. He didn't make it easy for them to get along.
