The boys started a band, years later. They named it Kropp Circle at first, as a clever play on their original last name. Later on, in 2011, they changed it to Palaye Royale under the guise that, that was where their grandparents had met, but it was merely a ruse. Of course, being vampires, their grandparents had died long, long ago, but Emerson had a particular fondness for the building that was built in 1921.

Andrew, ever an amazing warlock, cast a spell on all of us, giving the world the impression that in 2011 we were mere teenagers. It was a simple spell. Many supernaturals eventually turned to its useful ways. I was with the brothers the entire time, watching in awe as their Soldiers of the Royal Council (a homage to their mother, her initials), our family, grew.

Over time, as the years had ticked on, I stayed the same. Never aging, never growing old, looking just as I had upon escaping from the asylum for the second time. I was immortal now, thanks to Andy. Thankfully, the spell placed on us would allow us to look as though we were aging like normal humans.

It was 2017, and Palaye were going to meet some dude that they were going to be openers for. I'd never seen the man before, and Remington would never tell me his name. He was very careful in keeping him a mystery to me. I was curious, but figured if he was actively making an effort to keep whoever it was a mystery, there was likely a reason.

Currently, they were officially meeting the person, since the producers also wanted Remington to sing for the guy in a movie too. Something about his voice being owned or something, I wasn't entirely sure of the reasoning.

Normally, I try to stay out of the way when it comes to the band business, Sebastian usually deals with that, but Austin wanted me to let the boys' know that he was able to get the rest of the merch in the van.

Knocking on the door, I open it, able to tell that Remington was in there. Everyone in the room looks over at me, but I don't notice, eyes locked on a painfully familiar face. Recognition passes through his eyes but I close the door quickly.

Taking a few steps back, I pivot on my heel, intending to just forget what I'd seen and hope I was hallucinating.

It wasn't him. It wasn't him. He's dead, he's been dead for fifteen years. Shaking my head to rid myself of his familiar face, I run my hands through my hair as the door opens behind me. I don't turn around, even as someone grabs my arm, tingles shooting through my nerves.

Its not Remington.

Turning around slowly, eyes broadcasting my extreme weariness, I meet the slightly confused expression of the man from before.

Behind him, I see Sebastian pulling Remington back, a firm grip on his shoulder as Sebastian tries to talk him out of coming out here with me.

I remain silent, even as the man speaks, looking up at him as I have to with everyone taller than myself.

"Do I... know you?" He asks, a hesitant smile on his face.

Tears well up in my eyes.

The voice is the same. The hair, the eyes, the face, the height, it's all the same. I'd forgotten the way he smiled, the sound of his voice and how formal he sounded even when speaking informally. The way his eyes shifted shades of blue in different lighting. I had tried to burn his everything into my memory, once, but time has forcibly ripped him away from me.

"I don't... think so." I mutter, trying my best not to break out crying.

He doesn't know me.

"You look really familiar and... this may sound odd but, I'm positive I know you from somewhere. I get this, this feeling when I see you and I don't understand it. I've never seen you before in my life and I'm getting these flashes of memories that aren't mine." The utter confusion on his face nearly breaks me.

"His soul... he... he must have reincarnated in you." I murmur, realization hitting me.

I move past him, practically barreling into the room. "Sebastian, I need you to look at his soul for me. Is it... the way I think it is?" I question, a frantic edge to my voice.

He merely looks at me with an unsure little smile, "He has slightly over half of daemon's soul. It is as you said, he has reincarnated into this man."

"Stay here!" I command, shooting a look at the man as I close the door behind me.

Now in the room with my three boys, I look to Remington. "Is this why you were nervous about me meeting him?"

With a hesitant nod of his head, Remington grimaces. "I'm not mad at you, y'know, but I wish you'd have told me." I tell him, kissing him on the cheek briefly.

"Now, Remington, what did you say Andy's soul looked like right before he... died." Sebastian asks hesitantly, glancing over at me briefly, Emerson remaining silent throughout the ordeal.

"There was a piece missing, a small piece and then his soul sort of broke into two. One part disappearing and the other glowed."

"If that man is his reincarnation, then why is he this old? Shouldn't he still be young?" I ask, leaning my head on Rem's shoulder.

"Usually yes, reincarnation usually brings you back to infant form but in this instance, I think daemon had put a piece of his soul into his reincarnation and then placed the rest with Remington, in case anything ever happened. When he gave up half of his soul to mend yours, the half he didn't sacrifice went to his reincarnation at however old he was. Twelve, I believe."

"That... is some complicated shit?" Emerson comments, and I ruffle his hair lightly as a form of acknowledgement.

"Will he ever be like our Andy again?" I ask quietly, letting myself feel a bit of hope.

"It's a possibility." Sebastian replies, turning his head to look at the door, "We have an eavesdropper."

The door opens slowly, "What's all this about demons and reincarnations? It all sounds too familiar even though I have no idea what you're talking about." The tall musician speaks, confronting us with an odd sort of stubbornness in his otherwise confused gaze.

"I guess we should start with ourselves, to explain everything to you better." I begin.

"We're vampires." All three brothers chorus, fanged grins overtaking their features.

I smile at him as his eyes widen in shock. "I was human that was born with magic, but there was an incident. Now, I'm immortal too." Darkness swirls around my fingertips, the room darkening as the shadows bend to my will, my heterochromatic eyes glowing brightly in the dim lighting.

"Welcome to the world of the supernatural."

The End

It was probably anticlimactic to have a character die two chapters ago, have Elizabeth "accept" it, and for him to be back already. I'm sorry.
