My hands couldn't keep steady on the wheel. 'Pull it together Annie!' I chanted in my head. Dinner. No, not just dinner. Dinner with an Alpha, make that two, except this time one is my mate. I can't help but groan, I turn onto the road that leads to my packs territory. I look in my rearview mirror and see Tony trailing me. ' just breath, this won't be like last time, you're stronger now' I remind myself as I pull to a halt in front of the pack house. I turn off my car, set my keys in my lap but I have yet to open my door and get out. I hear Tony slam is car door and his feet walking towards my range. I close my eyes, trying to even out my breathing.
His finger taps on my window, I look up to see him staring at me, I roll down the window. " so what's up?" I try to keep my voice even, never show weakness. A promise I made long ago. "Are you alright, nervous for your parents to meet the big bad wolf?" Tony says with an arrogant smirk.
I snort " If anyone is the big bad wolf it's me. Now hush little piggy and come along." I say I'm a sweetly sarcastic voice. Suddenly my door is yanked open and I'm pressed against the hood of my car. I feel Tony's hands grip my waist, his chest flexes and his face just inches from mine. " I'll show you a little piggy baby girl, you just wait and see" he stated sending a chill down my spine. The look he gave me was promising, I'm going to have to work on my resistance to him. We both turn and look at the front door when we hear it open. Tony backs off of me and tries to grab my hand but I pull it away. " sweetie! Where have you been! Ignoring my calls! Oh look at you, you're a mess we can't let the alpha-" she pauses from her rant when she sees Tony standing there with a slightly amused/irritated expression.
" Alpha- Alpha Blade, I had no idea you'd be here so soon" my mother bows. I roll my eyes, the perfect female wolf always showing respect to the male. " Mrs. Johnson, I came with Annie, I'm the friend she was with today, I'm sorry I kept her away. I should have mentioned the dinner to her" Tony smoothly said. I look up at him with wide eyes " you knew!" I stated angrily.
Tony ignored me and smiled at my mother. " well no since in standing outside, let's go in and wait for our alpha and his family along with your parents, shall we?" My mother stated calmly. It always amazed me how she went from frantic to calm in a seconds. I huffed and followed inside next to Tony. He looked down and smiled at me and I groaned. ' this night is going to suck' I thought.
