Childhood.
19 of August 1961
The night that Euphemia and Fleamont had arrived home was the night after their daughter was born. Pureblood, both of the wizards were ecstatic to find out that Euphemia was pregnant again after only a year of having James. They had always tried to have both a daughter and a son and after years of giving up hope, they were amazed that both of their children were to be so close to each other.
Euphemia: James, honey we're home." she cried as a little toddler came waddling up to her and her husband looking curiously into the little crate that she was holding. At only 17 months of age, the little boy was already showing signs of a great quidditch player, a game in which both the mother and the father loved deeply. He had strong chubby legs in which he can briskly walk for a few minutes but fall slowly to the ground. He had already had a bruise from falling off the little broom that his father had made for him in the backyard and he had two little front teeth that helped him barely talk.
"What's that?" James questioned his mother as he peered into the crate with a little girl staring at him. Her eyes were as big as the sun and as dark as coal while her skin was a beautiful olive with showing small sprouts of pitch black hair forming at the tip of her head. She cooed at James as he started to poke her chubby cheeks with his little fingers.
" James," his father replied. "Say hello to your new sister, Isabella Evanora Potter."
"Hello, Eva." James had immediately replied. He liked the idea of a new sister. One he could play quidditch with. But he did not like the idea of sharing the love of his parents with her as well. Though kind, James was stubborn and did not think that sharing all his toys and his house with this little thing was going to be well. But the thought of that quickly went over his mind as she had started grabbing his and crying when he tried to let go. Eventually, he had decided that she was worth the love that his parents will give her and quickly went to the living room to grab a little story to read to her. This was the beginning of Isabella Potter.
A few Years later:
"James give me back my book!!" Eva screamed as she tried chasing her brother who was on his broom outside of their house. Eva had just turned ten resulting in her brother turning eleven and about to be receiving his Hogwarts letter. Their parents had always said that James would make it into the school no matter what because he was as gifted as he was beautiful. He had grown into a beautiful boy being 5'4'' at only 11 years of age with hazel eyes and dirty brown hair. Over the years it had become harder for him to see, so his parents bought him round spectacles that always landed at the tip of his nose. He was beautiful at quidditch and went on the broom with ease. His parents were always proud of him and didn't care if he did not have an interest in books. Eva on the other hand, though never fully tried to compete with him, became a gifted girl in all types of magic, where her brother enjoyed to play outside on most days, she would always be huddled up with a book about the school that she dreamed to go to and would be practicing spells at year 3 levels while only being 10, though not having a wand, with sticks that she found around her yard and found that even with them she could barely make the spell work. Her parents loved her as well, though never as much as her brother, but she didn't care and only wanted the best for everyone in her family. Even though she was good at quidditch she never really enjoyed it thinking that if she did her brother would try and taunt her to stop playing. So she always stayed with her books where she enjoyed most of her time.
It was a beautiful day in summer, the sun was welcoming the world with open arms and the wind had decided to slow down to a point where you could hear the birds chirping. Eva had decided that instead of trying to read her book inside where the neighbors kept staring at her while her mother was making some afternoon tea, she had decided to watch her brother and the neighbors' boys play a small game of quidditch while she finished reading her book, "Advanced work in Charms," However she was rudely interrupted when her brother took her book away and started to fly off near the lake.
"Try to catch me if you can!" James had screamed over the wind blowing swiftly into his hair as he glided smoothly against the wild grass which had started to turn a musty yellow indicating that summer time had started. After a few minutes, he had decided to go back into the house because it got extremely boring since his sister didn't try and follow him. Once inside he had ruffled up his hair and got a glass of water from the kitchen where his sister was already reading a new book, "History of Potions"
"Here sis." he said as he placed the book onto the island's countertop and sat beside her. "Why do you always read. It's like you get a new book every five seconds, where do you get them anyway, your not even going to Hogwarts for another year!" James, even though kind, always like to tease his little sister about her skills and was a little jealous that she could complete so much at such a young age and he could not.
"Mum owns the bookstore in Diagon Alley dumbo," Bella replied. "She has given me these books every time I go and visit when you're too busy playing your stupid game."
"It's not stupid, and one day I'm going to become the best quidditch player ever," He replied back at her boastfully. "And don't worry, I'll make sure that you will get seats that the minister of magic won't even have!" He exclaimed as he jumped onto the countertop to strike a heroic pose.
"WOW, thanks so much, in the meantime I will keep reading my books," Bella replied in a sarcastic tone.
"Well that's great honey, I'm sure you will make us proud." Their mother said as she walked into the kitchen carrying the teacups that the neighbors have left. She landed a kiss on Eva and James as both of them quickly waved it off. Their mother was laughing as an owl had just landed into their windowsill.
"Thank you, Casper," Their mother had said as she started petting the owl. It cooed for a few moments before flying into the barn that was near their house.
"What is it, mother?" Eva asked. They normally didn't get mail like this. It was beautifully wrapped in a dirty yellow colored envelope with James' name written in a bold cursive. The front of the envelope had a beautiful dark red stamp with an H on it.
"OMG! James your letter came!" Bella herd her mother scream, "Oh your father will be so proud!"
"Come on mum, let me see!" James shouted, " it is my letter after all,"
"Oh well here you go, but you better read it out loud," their mother handed over the paper as James pushed up his glasses,
"Well...."
