Eurielle woke up that morning, bitter. Her back absolutely ached beyond belief, and she had an urge to go stuff herself with sweets. Her bitterness seemed to show since, her fellow scouts kept a safe distance away. That didn't help her mood.
"It's just like the first time!" Whispered Mikey loudly. Hiding behind the ever so large Rafa. "I can hear you" growled Eurielle, from across the table. Where all three men were sitting, away from her. Mikey's jaw dropped, and he (attempted at) reaching for Rafa's broad shoulder, then began to shake it back and forth. "Rafa! Rafa! Does he have some kind of super hearing? Or telepathy?!" He asked, his brown eyes sparkling. Rafa, who usually didn't show much of any emotion, gave Mikey a deadpanned look, and said: "no...Mikey, you're really loud.."
Alexander snorted at that remark, as usual never passing up the opportunity to tease the red head. "Your 'whispering' could be considered a normal speaking tone" he taunts. Mikey gives him the stink eye, although it didn't look so threatening considering he was hiding behind Rafa.
Eurielle, suddenly feeling pity for the poor boy. Pulls Mikey away from Rafa, and hugs the boy close to her, she had bounded her chest that morning, and she was figuring it was okay. "All you do is taunt the poor boy, leave him alone" she says smothering him. The two men in front of her exchange a confused glance, then look at her again. "Are...you alright Eric?" Asks Rafa.
Eurielle freezes realizing what she was doing. She quickly let go of him,"O-oh..haha..I'm sorry, I used to help with the village children a lot. Mikey just reminded me of them.." she lied lamely. Alexander scoffed, Rafa elbowed him not so gently. "I see you miss home" he said, Rafa's statement proved to be true, as she looked down at her boots, and smiled sadly. "Terribly so..yet there's nothing outside that reminds me of home..save for the cold, and the misty days" she replies solemnly.
The large mans eyes soften, and he reaches across the table to pat her head. "I come from the mountains, so I don't know how you feel..but I do hope with all of my heart, that you do get to see your home again one day" Eurielle's jaw was slightly ajar, she didn't notice how sad she truly felt about it, until a warm tear fell down her cheek. Quickly wiping it away, she sniffles, "thank you, Rafa I also hope you get to see the mountain home you've been missing as well" she whispers.
For the first time since they've met. Rafa smiles.

"How have there been no signs of attack?"
Jumin slumped in his chair, giving out a bored sigh, as General Sneg paced around the tent. The other captains, exchanging worried glances. "The navy arrives tomorrow, sir. They must've seen something..Our intel just isn't up to date yet.." says one. Sneg sighs through his nose. "Captain Haiba.."
Jumin perks up in his seat, clearing his throat. "Yes sir?" Sneg sits down, looking st the young captain in the eye. "Send out your scout tomorrow morning on an excavation. I heard he's the best in his force, so I want him to find any signs of enemy camp" he says sternly. Jumin's eyes widen, "but sir..Eric doesn't have the experience to go on a solo mission he-"
"I do not care. Get another scout to go with him, if he is the best of the best, we must utilize him to our advantage. Is that clear, Captain Haiba?" Sneg interrupts. Jumin felt shaken to the core. The thought of her going, and never coming back..it scared him more than he cared to admit. "I said. Is that clear, Captain Haiba?" Said Sneg impatiently, Jumin's head snaps up, his eyes narrowing at the Brigadier General. "Crystal...sir.." he said slowly.

"A mission?"
Eurielle wondered why she was summoned to her captains tent so suddenly. She hadn't seen him in a while, he looked stressed, and tired. His hair was messy, as if he ran his hands through it multiple times. "It was ordered by the Brigadier General.." he murmured. Eurielle's eyes were wide, "of course..but if I may be bold.." she said slowly. He nods, "Are..are you doing alright.,Captain?"
Her question caught him off guard. Of course she always caught him off guard. Jumin sighs, standing up and inching his way closer to her, until they're standing close enough that he feels her warm breath on his lips. "No.." he whispers, reaching up to grasp her waist. "I'm not okay.." he murmurs, pulling her closer to him. Eurielle looks away from her handsome captain, and pushed him away slowly. He let go of her waist, allowing her to back up so they have some distance between them. The gods know he needs it, if they stayed like that any longer, he wasn't sure he'd be able to control himself.
"I'm merely worried for you..that is all.." she says, yet he understood the hidden meaning behind her words. Don't mistake this for something else. They haven't done anything since the night they've first kissed, she was avoiding him he could tell that much. But he was avoiding her too..he couldn't place all the blame on her.
"You'll be taking Alexander with you.." he adds. Eurielle looks up wide eyed. "What?" She asks nervously, "Sneg's orders" he exclaims putting his hands up in the air in defeat. "I tried to change his mind, but Alexander does have a bit more experience than the others."
Eurielle wanted to go punch the General in his pretty face.
Her? With Alexander?! She got chills remembering that night he was in her tent. "How long will this mission last?" She asks slowly. "Depends if you can find any evidence, within a 40 mile radius" he deadpanned. Her jaw dropped, "that could take days! And searching for evidence? I'll have to walk the whole damn thing, and back!" She cried. "What if I can't?" She Asks, "then we can deduct the theory of an enemy camp anywhere in the area" he replies. Eurielle huffs in annoyance.
Jumin sighs through his nose, "look I know you don't feel comfortable with him..if it were up to me I would send someone else, but Alexander could help in the long run" he says trying to comfort her. She scoffs, "right I'll try to sleep with one eye open, and hope he doesn't slit my throat in my sleep" she replies sassily. Jumin's right eye twitches, watching the petite girl, turn on her heel, and storm out of his tent. He opened his mouth to call for her to come back, but decides against it. Growling under his breath about how irritable she could be.
Eurielle stomped inter tent, made a bee line to her pillow, and screamed her frustration into it. Stupid General! Stupid Jumin! She thought cursing their existence throughout the entire night.
