Amaya

I sip my juice box staring at the two boys as they stared back at me with looks of intimidation. They had taken me to a diner downtown, and ordered a massive meal for me but nothing for themselves.

I hadn't even touched the plate.
They hadn't spoke at all yet, not even on the car ride here.

"Are you guys going to say something or are you just going to stare?" No answer. This was so awkward.

"Why did you bring me here?" I set my juice box down.

"We have things to talk about." Levi says discreetly.

"And those things are?" I quirk.

"You look beautiful" Kai says out of nowhere. "I really like your hair down you should wear it like that more often."

"Okay I will." I mumble.

"What?" Kai furrows his brows leaning forward.

"I said yeah I will." I say quietly.

"I literally can't hear you." He furrows his brows.

Internally I'm crying. I clear my throat. "Okay, Thank you I will." I squeak. This was so embarrassing, why was I blushing? I didn't know how to take compliments from them.

"You're welcom-" Kai starts to speak but Levi's voice over powers him.

"Why are you so skinny?" I stare at him in shock. Damn why was he so bold?

"I mean I know I'm not much to look at but jeez you don't have to make me feel bad about it." I say quietly my eyes downcast.

"Amaya." Oh no it was Levi's scolding tone. "That's not what I meant, you've lost weight."

"Oh." I divert my eyes grabbing my juice box. "Just been on a diet." I shrug. Kai stands up walking over to my side of the table he sits next to me and in a seconds time he brings my head to his chest.

"Baby leave my Amaya alone."

"First of all." Levi glares at him. "It's our Amaya. And I just wanted to know." He shrugs.

"Stop with your intimidation" Kai begins scolding him. "I've told you this is why people are scared of you! You just give them that look and they're running for the hills." Levi's eyes get darker and a wicked smile spreads across his lips giving me chills.

"What look?" He says cryptically, his head tilting to the side.

My eyes widen in terror. "Let me out!" I jump over Kai trying to escape whatever nightmare I was in.

Kai stands up grabbing my hand he stops me in my tracks I was surely about to make a run for it.

"See you have to smile more with kind eyes Levi." Kai scolds him returning to his seat next to Levi. I sit back down still on high alert.

"I do smile with kind eyes." He huffs.

"Um no it was giving pennywise." I take a sip of my water as Kai straight up cackles in Levi's face.
