Heartbreak
We all get heartbroken sometimes
It hurts
It stings
It pains us inside in out
But it's there
Heartbreak
You make excuses for the way you were treated because you're in denial
Denial that you deserve better, that is
Heartbreak
All you want to do is sleep
It's not a cure, but an escape
An escape from reality from your deteriorating heart
Pain
All you feel is the pain
You think you deserve it because it's an excuse
An excuse to forget the love
The affection
The memories that once meant everything
Excuses
We make excuses to tell ourselves we're okay
When in reality, we're broken
Broken from the pain
The trust we lost
And the happiness that seems like it's gone forever
Heartbreak
It sucks
It stings
It hurts
But, it happens
