JACKSON LISTENED TO MORGAN as he unfiled all his mental notes as they sat in a secluded office to themselves. Spencer Reid spun in an office chair, and Aaron Hotchner sat still next to Jackson, himself. Jason Gideon, well, was up at the map and mentally tying everything together. Needless, Jackson was still learning how the team worked.Morgan went back and forth, and Jackson watched as he paced the same three feet in front of him. He and Hotchner kept going with different thoughts and theories.
Jackson finally sighed and leaned back in the chair, his arms folded over his chest. "Paranoid behavior, then a non-paranoia behavior. I really think we're looking into two unsubs here. It makes sense, or option two says we have an unsub with a personality disorder."
"Alright, enough." Gideon cut them all off, and they all turned towards him. He barely looked over his shoulder, "Let's tell them we're ready."
Then Gideon turned around and left the office. They sat there quietly, but by the look on Morgan's face, Jackson knew he was flabbergasted. He got the feeling that Morgan didn't trust him a hundred percent, or was questioning Gideon's authority. However, Jackson wasn't fully sure of what happened before he arrived on the team, so he kept quiet.
"We're ready?" Morgan questioned, his tone full of disbelief as he watched Gideon leave.
Despite Morgan's disbelief of the incomplete profile and worried for the unit chief who's on the verge of a nervous breakdown, Jackson followed Gideon anyway. Though, apparently it's not called a nervous breakdown anymore, as Gideon had schooled Morgan on that fact. Then Spencer Reid said something about a depressive episode, but Jackson hadn't been paying much attention then.
They all stood in a large room, as Gideon began to lay out the profile of their unsub.
Unidentified subject, or unsub for short, in their case was believed to be a white male in his late twenties. Go figure, right? He seems normal enough that he can blend into a crowd. It's suggested that he has a criminal record, most likely petty crimes, or possibly auto theft. Fun. He classifies as an organized killer; careful, psychopathic as opposed to psychotic. He follows the news, has good hygiene, he's smart. If any physical evidence is found, it's because he wanted it to be found, he's that smart. He's mobile, got a good car; they've guessed a jeep Cherokee, tinted windows. He's sexually inadequate— that sucks— because the murders involves rape, but without penetration. History of paranoia, stemming from a childhood trauma. He feels watched, and murder gives him a sense of power. He's fascinated with law enforcement and had injected himself into the investigation. He'll come as a witness, to see how much the police know and this makes him feel oh, so, powerful.
