Esme x Lily

~Lily's POV~

Today was yet another slow day during class. Every so often, I would glance over at Esmé. She seemed so happy. I just wanted to go over to her and kiss those red cheeks. I turn my attention to the teacher. She's talking about something along the lines of a war. I don't really know.

After what seems like forever, the bell finally rings. The teacher, Ms. H. looks at her watch and gives everyone a warm smile.

"See you all later!" She states in that cheery voice of hers. Lame. I decide to go over to Esmé and see what she's talking about.

"Hey Lily! Did you hear?" She asks, whispering the last part.

"WHAT?" I yell to annoy her. It worked, I smirk.

"There's a new pair of students coming in! Ones name is Ethan and the other is James!" She chirps. I just give her a half smile and a little laugh.

"Cool," I jump at the sudden noise. It was just Sophia... jesus.

"Did you know Ethan is my twin?!" Sophia says, giving a half lidded smile. Me and Esmé exchange glances.

"You never mentioned him before?" Esmé blurts.

"I know, he was home schooled and he didn't like when I talked about him," She mumbled something at the end, I couldn't quite hear what she said.

We all s t r u t (i'm sorry) our way to class. Once we get in, we see two kids. One was, that I assume, is Sophia's twin, Ethan. He had a pink fringe going over his right eye. He was wearing a stranger things sweater with the hood pulled over his head and tied tight around his round face. The other, James, also had a hoodie with his hood on. I couldn't quite see his hair, only a few fly always. Does he have his hair in a pony tail?

"Oi!" Sophia yells, grabbing everyone's attention. "Hah, hi," she says.

"Hi?" James says.

"Yo," Ethan says.

I look over to Esmé. She was blushing and looking over at Ethan. I grit my teeth, why him? He's probably JUST like Sophia! SOPHIA FOR GODS SAKE!

Ethan looks at Esmé and gives her a wink. That's it, I HAD to leave. I walk out of class to go get a drink. Sophia follows.

"Lily, what's wrong?" She asks with big eyes.

"Nothing, what do you mean?" I ask trying to sound happy. It sounds so fake. 

"Well, I mean, you just skedaddled out of class once you saw Ethan," She said. Her eyes widened when she said Ethan. 

I gave her a confused glance and responded with "I just needed some water,"

"If somethings bugging you, don't hesitate to tell me." She says in a stern voice. 

"Alright," She gives me a light hug before walking off to class. I walk behind her. Once we get into class, I see Esmé and Ethan talking. 

~Esmé's POV~ 

I watch Lily come in, she seemed calm, but her eyes showed that she was mad. I wonder what happened. I notice that she was with Sophia. Ah, that's why. 

"So, Ethan, tell me more about yourself," I practically purred. I was leaning against one of the back tables while looking up to him. 

"I- uh," He stuttered. I laughed a little at his actions. 

"I guess I like drawing," He says. He blushed a little. (OwO? What dis?)

"Oh! That's nice," I respond. I don't know why, but I feel as if I'm starting to like him. 

But I still like Lily. Wait, why Lily? 

~Sophia's POV~

She likes my twin.

Twin are the same people.

So does that mean she likes me? 

Ewwwww

~Lily's POV~

I watch from behind Esmé and Ethan talk. It makes my heart sink anytime they smile at each other. Which is, about every 2 seconds. I want to be there and make her laugh not that crusty hoe called Ethan.

(Still Lily's POV)

It's been a week, and Esmé has been ignoring me just to talk to Ethan. She REALLY likes him. They've even started dating! The first day they met! Sophia could care less. She says 'As long as their happy I don't give a shit'. It's so annoying. If I knew that she would accept being in a relationship THAT quick, I would've asked her out a LONG time ago. 

Anyways, I've seen Ethan hug other girls and be clingy around them. Any time I try to tell Esmé, she just ignores me. She says 'Ethan would NEVER do that to me! You're just trying to break us up so you could have him or something.' Hah. Idiot I don't want Ethan I want you. 

I've been talking with James for awhile, and we both get along pretty good. We both like drawing, and we both like the same type of music. 

I was doodling on a sticky note, listening to other peoples conversations. A typical day. 

"Hey Ethan, we need to talk." Esmé stated in a strict voice. This made me itch, I needed to know what's happening. I lean in, making it look as if I was laying my head on my cheek.

"What is it babe?" Ethan asks in a almost scared tone.

"I saw you hanging out with Isleta yesterday," Esmé says with her hands on her hips.

"E-Esmé, it's not what it looks like!" Ethan responds, looking around with his hands pointing east and west and clapping them.

"I won't hesitate, bitch!" Esmé says

"We're over." Esmé states in a voice that sounds like all her emotions left her. 

"W-wait, Esmé," Ethan stutters. 

"No, it's over," Esmé says walking over to me. She sits down. I'm still in awe that they broke up.

"H-hey," Esmé says, her cheeks blushing a bright crimson. 

"I heard what happened, and I'm sorry," I say, giving her a weak smile. 

She looks up at me with those bright blue eyes. She exhales through her nose and her eyes dart to the left of me, looking at nothing in particular. 

"Yeah, it sucks," She says. She then does something unexpected. She, hugs me? I tense up at the sudden contact. 

"Calm down Lily, it's just a hug," Esmé whispers pulling away. 

"No, wait," I say pulling her closer to me, this time she tenses. She then relaxes and gladly hugs me back. It's like as if everyone in the room was gone, and it was just us. 

"I wouldn't treat you like that mon précieux," I whisper, almost inaudible. 

~Esmé's POV~

I blush at the words she said. I bet she doesn't know I hear her. I push my head further into her shoulder. 

"I know," I say loud enough just for her to hear. She tenses and gives a small laugh.

"You heard that?" She asks

"Yeah," I respond.

"Well?"

"Well what?" I ask, still in the same position.
