Hey Chris..." The girl with long black hair and plump lips said. She wore light jeans and some flats a white tshirt. She was pretty average body size. Nothing special about her looks.
His eyes got wide and his heart stopped dead in his chest. His bottom lip dropped trying to get the words out but he couldn't. He was frozen. Mike hit him under the table so he could get it together. "Uh..hi-What'sup?" He said stuttering like his tongue was about to fall out.
"Long time no see, how have you been?"
"I'm good.. Yeah..good." He said somewhat returning back to earth. She looked at Mike and raised her arms for a handshake. "Hey Michael, how are you?"
"I'm fine, how are you Ashley?"
"I'm wonderful. It's been forever! This is crazy seeing you guys here!"
More like awkward. "Uh..yeah.." He said rubbing the back of his neck "what are you doing up here?"
"We'll I finished my semester on the east coast so I decided to come up here for a little get a way with my girls."
"Sounds fun."
There was an awkward silence that gleamed upon the table. Everyone was looking around and waiting for what was going to be said next.
"Is this place always this packed?" She asked pulling out a chair to sit with the group and breaking the silence. Melissa scoffed and Robyn bit her lip. Chris saw her amd new she wasn't feeling this and put his hand on her thigh. She didn't look at him though. This was the girl he was in love with before she had come along. The girl who made him this asshole that Robyn had to change. The girl who could possibly, if she triggered the right emotion, take Chris away from her. She shuddered at the thought.
"Only after games..." Michael said as Melissa gave him a dirty look.
Ashley looked at Michael and then at Mel. "Oh hi, I'm Ashley, how rude of me."
"Oh bitch please don't act." Melissa responded. Mike nudged her under the table but she continued to speak. "Act like you don't know who the fuck I am, you know you didn't forget."
"Excuse me?"
"Amnesia bitch? Yeah don't act!"
Melissa clearly had a lot of problems with everybody. And once again Robyn was clueless as to why.
"Anyway.." Ashley said turning to Robyn. "Hi I'm Ashley and you are..."
"Robyn." She said very short and stiff but with a thick accent. "Nice to meet you Robyn."
"You too." Robyn said back.
Chris remained unspoken.
"So Michael, figured out what your gonna major in?" She asked him as he stuffed his face with fries.
"Uh nah, not yet. Working on it."
"Oh well then I know Chris hasn't figured it out."
Here we go with this bullshit Chris thought. He threw his arm around Robyn's shoulder and grabbed her hand. Ashley's 'I'm that bitch' persona quickly changed.
"Actually, I have a major." He said confidently.
"We'll good for you." She said suddenly annoyed.
"Thanks."
The situation was still uncomfortable for Robyn no matter how much Chris played with her under the table or grabbed her hand.
"I'm going to um.. I left my phone in the truck.. I'm going to go get it." She rose from the table and headed for the door before Chris could ask if she needed him to join her. He looked at Mike who looked at Mel, who rolled her eyes at Ashley who was currently aggravating everyone at the table with her presence.
Chris grabbed the keys off of the table and stood up. "She forgot the keys, I don't know how she expected to get in the car without the keys. Ima go take these to her.." He headed for the door as well.
"Ima go pee." Mel said not caring how she sounded. And then there were 2.
"What's going on with those two?" Ashley asked Mike as soon as the coast was clear.
"Who Robyn and Chris?"
"Yeah."
"They're dating."
"For how long?"
"About 2 months."
"Who would've guessed. Little old Chris would have gotten over me."
"Ashley, chill. He really likes her."
"I'm not the one you have to tell chill Michael, everyone knows when Chris gets bored and I'm still here he'll come running back to me. I don't have to do anything, but sit here and look cute."
"Ashley you fucked that niggas head up about love on top of what he already thought about it. And since he's been with Robyn he's realized that. You'd be a real bitch to try and pull some stunt like that."
"What stunt Michael? I said I'm not doing anything! But sitting here. If anyone needs to be weary of what's going on it needs to be little green eyes. She'll be the one crying if it happens. Not me."
"You haven't changed. Always tryna bring somebody or something good down."
"At least you know me." She said as Mel came back to the table.

Chris walked out to the car. He thought Robyn would be hanging out the side of it looking for her phone but she was sitting in the front seat, with her seatbelt on in the dark. He peeked in the window and opened the drivers seat door and sat down. They sat there looking out the front window in silence. Then Chris spoke.
"Did you find your phone?"
"Yep."
"Soooo... Any reason your sitting out here. with your seatbelt on. In the dark?"
"Nope...I'm just ready to go."
"You weren't going to tell anybody?"
"No, I was hoping when I was gone long enough, somebody would come looking for me."
"If you were ready to go why didn't you just say it."
"Cause I'm not a bitch."
"A bitch? Why would being ready to go make you a bitch?"
"Because I'd be leaving when she walked in, which would make me look like I was scared. Which is not how I want to be seen."
"Did you wanna leave before she got here?"
"Hell no."
Chris let out a goat laugh.
"Babe, you have nothing to be afraid of. I don't want her ass. I want you. That's why I'm with you."
"But still... That was your first love, the second never prevails when it comes to that."
"Is this in a book, a legal document? Is it a law?"
"No but..."
"Then if I'm telling you that I love you, and not her, why are you worried?"
"Chris it's easier said than it is done, i love you I really do. But I just know.."
"How I used to act?"
"No how hoes fall on your dick. And if they good enough, you'll keep em around."
"But can't nobody do it like you."
"Whatever."
"I'm serious, it's different with you. It's a different kind of falling on the dick. You make me want to tell you no babe, tonight don't fall on my dick, let me fall on that pussy."
Robyn let out a loud laugh. "That just means you're a sprung ass nigga."
"Bitch, I might be!"
"You are so dumb. Give me a kiss."
He reached over the glove compartment and kissed her gently on her lips. Gently turned into roughly quick as his tongue found its way into her mouth. She pulled him by his shirt over the compartment to where he was using it to hold him up. With his free hand he reached down into her jeans teasing her on top of her panties. She let out a soft sigh. She moved her head down to his neck, kissing every inch of it. His hand was still in her pants when he looked out the window and saw an old white couple looking at them through the window.
He whispered into Robyn's ear "I think we have an audience." She looked to the side and saw the pair and gasped in embarrassment. "See, look what you've done to me. Got me about to fuck in front of old people." She said as she fixed her jeans. "Uh. Nah, last time I checked you pulled me over the glove compartment so.. Don't do that."
"You shouldn't kiss so fucking good." She said putting herself over the glove compartment.
"I can't help it." He kissed her back.
"C'mon lets go, I'm hungry."
"You sure your okay with her being in there?"
"I'll be fine. She ain't got nothing on me."
"Mhmm that's the spirit, walk in that bitch like a show stopper."
She did a cute little walk and shook her hips. "You like it like that?" She asked looking back at him.
"I love it." He said smiling at how happy he was.

When the couple got back into the restaurant Ashley was gone. They both let out this sigh of relief.
"What happened to miss thang?" Robyn asked.
"She left, she had to go out with her girls or something.. I don't know."
"Then why the hell was she... Never mind.. Mel.. What's up with you and her?"

Mel rolled her eyes, extremely annoyed.
"We used to be best friends, but she became real fake. In high school, I ran for homecoming queen. This bitch, sabotaged my campaign by telling every girl on campus I slept with their boyfriend. So from then on I was known as the schools hoe. No one let me live that down."
"I remember." Chris said looking at Mel.
"I'm sure you do. Probably the only reason you wanted to date me."
"Not true. I thought you were pretty cute."
"Whatever, I don't want to talk about that."
Everyone looked around. The crowd was starting to die down and people were leaving. It was about 1 in the morning. The group of friends wasn't completely drunk but they had had enough beers to last them awhile. They got in the car and drove to the girls apartment.

Mike and Mel headed back to her room while Robyn and Chris stayed in the kitchen. "Do you want the rest of this cake?" Robyn asked coming into the living room. "Uh yeah, bring that cake over here." He was talking about a totally different cake. But she brought him a piece and a fork.
"I'm gonna go change, don't fuck my house up."
"You gone be the only thing I'm fucking." He said smiling.
She rolled her eyes with a smirk on her face and retreated back to her room.
He looked around at the pictures that the girls had in their house. They had been tons of places and had met tons of people. He saw pictures of what had to be her brothers and mom. He found a picture of her dad and a letter from him.
Dear Robyn,
Life is not something you spend trying to be perfect or trying to master. Life is a go at it sport. Nothing you do is truly planned and what you do is not always what you thought you would do. The best part of life, is living with no regrets. Whatever you do, whether I'm at home waiting for you in Barbados or at home with The Lord in heaven, know that all I want you to do is be happy with the way you live your life. You can't live the way someone else wants you to. God gave us our own temples so that we fit the needs of them as we see fit. Not someone else. People can lead you down paths and give you advice on what to do in situations but in the end it all comes down to you. So make sure whatever you do, you do it for you and not for the well being of others. Because if you live to please others, you will never truly please your self. I love you more than words can describe.
Love always, Daddy.
Chris almost teared up reading the letter. It had all the words he needed to hear. From his own father maybe, but it made so much sense to him. As if Robyn's father was speaking to him.
Robyn came creeping out of the hallway. She had been standing there watching him read the letter in her oversized university sweater and nothing else.
"Talking to daddy?" She asked him
He jumped a little not knowing she was there. "Huh?"
She sat down next to him. "Daddy used to work all over the place. Sometimes he'd be overseas doing business. And whenever he was away he made sure to write me a letter. Every single time, and sometimes he'd just leave them, before I'd go to school. I have a box full of them. Every time I read one I feel like I'm talking to him, asking him for advice."
"Yeah, that really spoke to me. Made me get what was wrong with me. I was trying to live to please people- my father- but I wasn't really happy."
"Yeah it reminded me of you."
"He seemed like a great guy."
"He was awesome."
They sat there in silence.
"Lets do something fun." Chris said trying to get Robyn away from her sadness.
"Like what?"
"I don't know lets go somewhere!"
"Nothing's open at this time of night Chris."
"We don't have to go to a place. Lets just go out!"
"Chris....."
"Cmon!"
He said grabbing her off the couch and the keys off the table.
"But Mel and Mike...."
"They'll be okay!"
"I'm being kidnapped!" She laughed as he threw her over his shoulder.
"It's not kidnapping when you like it."
"I don't have on panties." She said hitting his butt.
"Good." He said slapping hers in return.
