Melissa paced back and forth up the street, she hadn't planned on going back to the apartment and she hadn't planned on making it back home anytime soon, she'd be sure to run into Michael. She didn't want to call Robyn and ruin her vacation. Calling Michael wouldn't help the situation at all. If she could she would try to avoid him once she got back in town anyway.
"You've got to be kidding me." She sighed. She had to go see her mother. It was the only place she could go and understand what the hell was going on in her life. She was so hurt and didn't know why he would even go to such extremes and do some weak shit like this. She got infuriated just thinking about it. Her heart raced and her eyes narrowed. She hopped in a cab and gave the drivers the directions to her moms house. He phone buzzed and she took a peak at the name on the screen. It was Robyn.
Hey Boo! Hope everything is good, we're good over here! Love you!
Melissa sighed at the message. She was beyond happy for her best friend and nothing could change that. This was the first time she had ever had some one she truly loved and Melissa wouldn't be a burden and put the problems of her relationship on hers
Im good boo, have fun! She replied and turned her phone off.

"Chris?" Robyn called from the bedroom. It was a little after 1 am by this time. Her and Chris had just finished making each other happy about an hour before they both fell asleep. When she turned over to lay on him he wasn't there. She got up still nude. she searched the bathroom and peeked on the balcony. She heard a knock on the hotel door and suspected it was Chris, just because of how late it was. She threw on just a towel and went to the door.
"Where the fu—"
Her bottom lip dropped.
"What the fuck are you doing here? How did you find me?"
"I work here, but listen that doesn't matter. I just wanted to talk to you, it's been a while."
"You choose fucking, what? 1:30 in the morning to decide you want to fucking talk?"
He chuckled. "Haven't changed a bit, still stubborn and feisty."
"Shut up, you're at my door at the crack of ass morning and you expect me to be all peaches and cream?"
"I just got off, it's the only time ill probably get to see you."
"Great timing."
"Sorry, may I come in? I don't want to cause commotion to the other guest."
"Would you like to ask my boyfriend if you can come in?"
"He left like 15 minutes ago, what do you mean?"
"He did? Like checked out?"
"No but he left earlier."
"Where did he go Jonathan?" She said as she grabbed his shirt. He looked down at her hand and back at her. She quickly removed her hand. "Sorry, I just.."
"It's fine Robyn, may I come in?"
"Um, sure.. Just sit here and let me go cover myself."
Jonathan sat there. He was nervous and it was visible. He wasn't bold enough to be sitting in hotel with another mans woman. But, She was his woman first. But that doesn't mean anything now. Besides she left him high and dry after high school. It was like it was prom night, and he never saw her after graduation. And here she was. Spring break about to graduate college and all he could think about was how he let her get away. He never got to say goodbye. He never got to finish what he started. It was partially her fault, since she ran out on him, but he still carried the hurt heavy on his shoulders.
"Now what on earth possessed you to come at this time of the morning?"
"I just got off at 1 and I won't be here for much longer, I'm going back to Texas. It's probably the only time ill see you."
"What are you going back to Texas for?"
He turned his head. "Family stuff."
"Oh." Robyn responded aware that he didn't seem willing to talk about it. "Well, what's up? What's so important?"
He sighed. "I don't even know where to start."
"Well, you might want to figure that out."
"When I saw you at dinner earlier, I didn't know what to do. I hadn't seen or talked to you after prom, and I don't know if it was my fault or yours, but who ever it was I feel like i was the one to blame. And seeing you made it harder. Honestly I wasn't gonna come and say anything, but I knew if I did, I probably would never see you again. All I want know is why Rob, why you leave me like that?"
With every word, she flashed back to prom night. She wore a lavender dress, that brought the green in her eyes. He was her date. He picked her up in his dads white Mercedes Benz and they danced the whole night. After prom ended everyone headed to the hotels, but Jonathan insisted they go back to his place. She went with it. They sat in his room awkwardly, until Jonathan reached for her hand and laid her back on the bed.
Her first time.
He put his lips on her neck and she let him, some what agreeing to letting him be her first. They had the typical love story. Best friends turn to relationship, but it was certainly just a high school fling and nothing Robyn would even count as a real relationship.
He removed the white shirt she had changed to leaving her in only a bra. That was soon to be removed as he played with her nipples. Her head tilted back, her first time experiencing such a thing. She enjoyed it.
As his lips traveled further down her body, she became more and more nervous. She wanted this but she couldn't do it. Just as he slid in one time she pulled back. She rolled off of the bed dressed herself and left, not turning back to see his face or anything.
So now she had to answer why. Why did she just leave and never look back. Her eyes turned shy and she didn't even look at him.
"If you didn't want to, why didn't you just tell me?" Jonathan asked.
"No, it wasn't that.. I don't know.."
"After all this time you don't know? You still don't know Rob?"
"No, Jonathan, I don't know.. I wish I knew.. But I don't. I want to tell you I was scared, but I wasn't.. I wanted you that night, I really did. I wanted you to give me everything they say a first time is, but I just couldn't do it, and I don't know why."
"Do you.. Did you love me?"
"Of course I did, you were my bestfriend and boyfriend all wrapped in one, I loved you."
"Do you still?"
"Honestly?"
"Honestly."
"No."
Jonathan turned his head as if it were a physical slap in the face.
"I don't mean I don't love you, of course I still have love for you, but I'm in love with someone else, he's my everything, I have a love for him I didn't have for you and that's the honest truth."
"You ran out in me and you expect me to give you this unconditional love?" His tone rose and you could see he was getting angry at her statements.
"Jonathan, I'm sorry! But I can't help what happened in the past! You need to accept that."
"I need too? Robyn you didn't have someone walk out on you! I did! It's not as easy to get over it as it seems. You don't know shit Robyn. I've coped with this for years. Ive been trying to accept the fact that you may not give a fuck about me but I can't! I know I wasn't perfect when we were dating but damn, you act like I wasn't shit!"
"I never said that! I did enjoy our relationship! But I can't sit here and lie to you and tell you we were meant for each other."
"I'm not asking for that! I'm asking you why and you can't even give me good reason!"
Robyn stood up and so did he.
"Jonathan, I'm sorry. I really am. I wish things could be different but they aren't." She walked towards the door and he followed.
"I wish you would understand that you have that power to make things different." He grabbed her face and kissed her lips. She pulled her head back in resistance. "I love you Robyn, I always will."
And with that he left. He was on his way to Texas and like he said Robyn would probably never see him again. She wiped her lips and went back to the bedroom in the hotel. This spring break was turning out to be way more than she expected and it was just getting started.
Chris came in the room seconds later. He had on basketball shorts and a T-shirt. He had a grocery bag and his keys in his hand when he came in the bedroom.
"What you doing up?" He asked as he sat on the bed and took the grocery bag and got a bottle out of it. He took two of the pills in the Tylenol bottle and swallowed them with some water.
"I turned over an you weren't there, so I got concerned. Where were you?"
Chris held up the bag. "Walmart. Headache."
"You okay? How bad is it?"
"Couldn't sleep, of that's any indication."
"I'm sorry baby." She leaned over his shoulder and kissed his forehead.
"That nigga was in here?"
"Who?"
Damn it.
"The nigga from dinner, he was in this room?"
"No, he wasn't."
She was telling the truth. He wasn't in this room, maybe the one next to it, but not this one.
"Then where was he coming from?"
"He works here, it could be anywhere."
"How you know he works here?"
Robyn rolled her eyes. Chris was becoming that boyfriend that needed to know everything. But she couldn't complain, because if Ashley were to have come knocking on the door she would have been the same way.
"He told me."
"When he was in here."
"The living room, he just wanted to talk.. That's it."
"Alot of niggas want to 'talk' to you Rob.."
"All we did was talk, I promise. What do you think? You think I would do that to you?"
"Nah, but anything can happen. But I don't wanna go there tonight, my head ain't with it. We can do this in the morning.."
"Why can't this just end now? We talked and that's it."
"Okay Robyn."
