"your soulmate?" My mother screeched as she dropped the spatula she was using to mix the veggies she was frying. I chuckled and nodded. She was squealing and frantically waving her hands around and rambling nonsense. She jumped and wrapped her arms around me, squeezing me tightly.

My mom's current behavior strongly reminded me of Minhyuk's which is probably the reason I'm able to deal with a tornado like him. I pat her arm for her to release me. "What's her name? What is she like? How old is she? How did you meet? Does she like pork buns?" She bombarded me with a storm of questions, most of them making no sense and having no relation to the subject. I clasp my hand over her mouth to make her stop rambling.

"He" I simply corrected.

She blinked a couple of times before the veggies in the pan started sizzling really loudly making her jump. She rushed over to her cooking, with a new clean spatula mixed them up again and lowered the heat before turning back to me. I waited for her reaction.

"Does he like pork buns?" she repeated without caring at all about the fact that my soulmate was a man. I snorted at her question.

"I'll be sure to ask" i assured jokingly before i felt an uncomfortable itch on my left arm. I scratched the spot where i felt the discomfort but it kept going. Annoyed, i look down at my forearm where messy handwriting slowly etched itself onto my skin. I stared at my arm, so baffled by the sight that i forgot to read what it said.

"I'm so sorry Changkyun. I should have answered you at least once in all those years. I was a coward, i hope you can forgive me. I understand if you would rather take your time, just know ill be here from now on"

My mother read the message and glanced up at me worriedly. I looked away, not wanting to explain everything to her just yet. "I have an essay to start" I lied and awkwardly made my way up the stairs to my room. As soon as i enter the room, i throw myself onto my bed and let out a heavy sigh as i roll over onto my back. I raised my arm and admired every detail of the unfamiliar lettering, unknowingly smiling. It was so very strange having writing on my opposite arm. Being left handed, i usually write on my right arm. It felt strange but comforting in a way. knowing that there's someone else with you even when you're alone. For the first time, it truly felt like i had a soulmate.

Snapping out of my thoughts, i sprung off of my bed and hopped to my desk. I trashed every drawer in attempt to find a pen, a marker or any writing utensil and groaned when i couldn't find any. Where are those things when you need them?

I finally found an old pen that had rolled under my bed and fumbled with the cap before pressing the inked tip against my skin. I froze, not sure what to reply. Knowing that someone was actually looking at their arm, waiting for a response made me incredibly nervous.

"I cant exactly just forget the 20 years that i spent writing messages to no one in particular. Though-"

I stopped for a brief moment, trying to come up with words that usually come to me so easily but for some reason were stuck at the back of my head at the moment. Of course im mad at him, i cant just forgive the fact that he saw every single message that i wrote since i was a child and didnt bother replying. He really was a coward. But- i dont want to be mad. I finally have a soulmate. A gorgeous soulmate, im probably the luckiest man on earth. I dont want to lose him after i just found him.

"We can start from the beginning"

I read my words over an over while i waited for his reply, making sure i made no spelling mistakes. As minutes went by i started questionning my words. If only there was a delete button on my skin.

My havocing thoughts were put down when i felt the itch of an invisible pen gliding against my left forearm. I snapped my head down to look at the response.

"Gladly. Hey, I'm Lee Jooheon, I'm 24 years old, i work at a tattoo parlor that my dad owns across town. I love listening to music and making original tattoo designs, i love black coffee and the color of your eyes. I love your hair, your style, your voice brings chills down my spine. Id love to hear it some more, would you be willing to meet me again?"

I buried my face into my pillow as to hide the raging wildfire that was spreading from my cheeks to my ears as if he could see it. The words were so simple, nothing poetic but still impactful. It was rare that someone complimented my appearance. Usually i would only get praised for my brains and my schoolwork. It feels nice- for a change.

"Well, I'm Changkyun, though you probably know everything about me. Im a university student majoring in science. Coincidentally i also love coffee as well as the smell of roses and your charming expresion. Seeing it again would be my greatest pleasure"

I shriek into my pillow not believing what i had just written. Has he seen it? Would it be too late to erase? What if hes laughing? Does this sound stupid?

Somewhere across town in a small apartement above a tattoo shop a very flustered Jooheon was rolling around in bed.

He laid on his back, raised up an adorable fox plushie in he air and giggled
