Chapter 12: I like flying... Just not this sort

Remus's P.O.V

I woke up in the hospital wing. What happened last night?... Oh yeah... Full moon. I nearly forgot, but how can I, I'm a monster!

Looking around I saw James and Sirius sprawled in weird positions, both asleep on chairs.

I snorted in amusement and they both jumped to life, Sirius with a shout of "I didn't do it!". I raised an eyebrow at him and he blushed, looking a little guilty.

"Did it... Did it go okay last night" I asked concerned. Luckily neither of them looked to be injured. "Yeah, It went fine. Something strange did happen thou-" James was cut off by Sirius.

"THERE WAS A PHEONIX!" Sirius screamed. A pheonix? What is Sirius talking about? Maybe I was wrong... Sirius may have hit his head last night.

James have Sirius an annoyed look.

"There actually was a pheonix Remus. You were starting to get near the school and a pheonix just swooped down in front of you before you could get out of the forest! It went fine the rest of the night after that, the pheonix led you back into the forest. When you started transforming back into your human form you tripped and got the pheonix around the head with a paw and it passed out. We couldn't bring the pheonix back to the castle, as we had you. But luckily the pheonix was only knocked out, not actually injured" James told me.

I struggled to take it all in. An actual pheonix? Just... Just wow!

"Can we go check to see if the poor things still unconscious?" I asked, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

"Of course! Might want to get changed first though!" Sirius exclaimed grinning.

"Oh... Yeah" I said, totally forgetting about the fact that I was still in yesterdays clothing.

"See Sirius!" James exclaimed, "One night of not enough sleep and all the brain cells dissolve!". I just rolled my eyes at this and we all started walking to the common room. Luckily we had the invisibility cloak, so no questions were asked from our fellow peers roaming the hallways.

We were just about to walk up the staircase to the boys dorms when we heard Brooke come padding down from the girls dorms. As she reached the floor of the common room she paused and spoke, which I found odd as she was the only one in the room...

Well, apart from us, but we were under the invisibility cloak.

"You know... Invisibility cloaks only work if you aren't breathing like mules" she said, looking up directly at us, making Sirius scream like a four year old girl in fright. I sighed and James groaned.

"How could you tell?" James groaned, clearly knowing the lot of us had been caught red-handed.

"Like I said, you breath like mules" Brooke shrugged, before padding through the common room and towards the portrait. Just before she got to the portrait James called out "Remember we're teaching you quiddich today!" and it was Brooke's turn to groan.

"What time?" She sighed defeated.

" 'Bout ten o'clock?" Sirius answered and she nodded her head limply before leaving. We all grinned like idiots as she left and Sirius turned to me.

"You coming to see?" He asked with an eyebrow raised.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world" I smirked to him.
