As many fans recall, Mayse released a statement of her temporary leave from her respective group; NCT, but however, did participate in events with the group including: ISAC 2019 and 28th Seoul Music Awrds.
During Seoul Music Awards, Mayse left a big impression to fans as a solo artist with a impressive performance of comeback song SOLO. Even won Best Female Soloist.
After the event, Mayse was seen leaving Seoul to LA; her hometown. She spent an entire week with family as well as working temporarily.
She participated in the famous Buzzfeed interview with puppies and a sneak peek was leaked after her departure. The 18-year-old idol reveals plans of future tattoos whilst filming the interview.
Mayse stated: "If I were to ever get tattoos, it probably be either have to be small and meaningful or just meaningful to me. I think my first tattoo that I get will be something meaningful to me, but I don't have plans of getting one anytime soon. Maybe in a few months?"
After the leaked video was released, fans began editing photos of the young girl with tattoos to see how she'd look with them. Many agreeing to her tattoo idea.
