The NEW student

It's 8:00am in the morning New and Singto are sitting at the cafeteria of New's new university. He's in 3rd year now but some things happened that's why he have to transfer and start anew.

"This university is cool. I know you'll like it here plus the students seems friendly." Singto, his one and only friend said.

He came here with new since he knows his friend is not good at socializing but apparently he doesn't study here.

"Yeah I can see that." New pouted and sipped on his juice. Singto then laughed and pinched his cheeks.

"Now that you're starting in a new environment maybe you should also consider getting some new friends." He raised his eyebrows like he's trying to test New if he can do what he just said.

"Tss. Why don't you say that to yourself now that I'm not there with you I'm sure you'll be alone." Singto and New are really close since they're both not good at socializing or they like to keep it low.

They were having a peaceful breakfast when a loud group stops right in front of them. The council. They both look at them with questions written on their faces.

"Hi. You're the new student right? I'm the council president and it's my duty to check on you if you need something. I'm Krist and this are my members." He smiled and extended his hands.

New smiled slightly and shook his hand. He look at his back where the other members at and one thing he noticed is the pair of eyes looking directly at him.

"Hi I'm Singto and this is my friend New. He's your new student so please take care of him." New blink as he heard Singto talked. Damn why is he looking at me like that? Does he want to fight? New thought.

"Oh Hi Singto. I assure you he'll be okay here." Krist said while smiling at him.

"Anyway I got to go New. I have a bus to catch. Have a nice day and don't forget to call me kay?" And again he pinched New's cheeks before he went off. That's actually Singto's hobby.

Krist cleared his throat and that caught New's attention.

"So we have to go now. Just tell me or any of my members if you need anything and we'll be glad to help."

"Okay I will do that. Thank you." He smiled and look at the man who's still looking at him like wanting to have some fight!

"Hey Tay you have class on the engineering building right? Take New there." New didn't say anything cause first he really need some help to find his room, but at the back of his mind he's asking who's Tay?

"Okay." Tay Tawan answered while nodding to Krist. So he's Tay? The guy who wants to have a fight with me by looking at me so intense?

"New we'll go now. Tay's here to help you. See you around." He patted his shoulder and New just nodded.

And now he's left with the guy named Tay.

Tay walked closer to him, too close for his own liking since he really value his personal space so he stepped back. Does he already dislike me? Tay asking himself since he saw how New took a step back.

"I'm Tay Tawan. I'm a senior taking photography. What's your name?" Okay he's voice is deep but is he deaf? Singto already said my name earlier.

"I'm New."

Tay nodded and clicked his tongue. He heard what his name is he just wanted to hear him say it.

"Okay let's get you to class." He smile and walk as New follows him from behind.

Tay can already tell that New is a quiet person opposite from what he is and he's pretty sure they won't go well together as friends since he prefers more active personality.

"But you know there's no harm in trying" he thought as a small smile creeps on his face.
