Everly's Pov
I can't help but notice the stares I get when I walk in with Liam after the pleasent encounter I had with Justin and his side chicks.
For some odd reason my arms cling around my stomach. There are probably twice as much people as there was before and yet I don't seem to recognize them from our school.
A few people bump into me and I'm really starting to get frustrated. This party is way too over packed and it's starting to trigger my anxiety.
I nudge on Liam's arm as I try to talk to him. He doesn't hear me and decides to walk on. It's easy for him. People see him and they part way but as for me, I'm basically getting swallowed in human flesh.
Liam no longer has a hold on my hand so I'm stuck on my own. Asshole. I only came to this party because he begged me to. And now he's just gone. Can you still be stood up even if the guy came but then disappeared after a while? Because this is what it feels like. I shouldn't have been this stupid to come to this party.
I need to get out of here.
Starting to panic a little bit, my breath becomes short and harder with each intake. I start to feel a little dizzy from all the bumping and sweat. It's getting really hot in here.
By this time Liam is long gone. I can't believe he just left me here. Who the hell leaves a pregnant girl alone to fight through human flesh? Not cool dude, not cool.
My eyes start to water all of the sudden. Oh no. It's happening. Here comes the anxiety attack. My heart beat races and my hands start to shake. I told him that I didn't want to come. I knew this would happen. Why did I even try and listen to him?
I start to see the rare view of the front door where I had come through once I got here, for me it feels like 20 years ago. Man, how is it possible for a town like this to have so many teenagers. We basically just have two schools. My school, West Cliffside and then the other school, North Cliffside.
Oh, now I get why there are so many teenagers at the party. The North's are here. The North's aren't supposed to clash with my school. Things tend to get out of hand when the boys drink to much and accidentally invade each other's personal space. That's not good news at all.
As if on cue I hear the shatter of glass bottles and short after that everyone is starting to move to the direction of the noise. With that they drag me along in the sea of human flesh. I was so close to leaving this stupid party but the boys just had to start something.
A fight is common to happen at parties like these. It's called a mix of testosterone and alcohol. I can basically taste the testosterone in the air.
All of the sudden I hear a gun shot. Few seconds after that more shots are being fired. Everyone starts screaming and running to get away from where the shots are being fired.
What the actual frick? Never have I witnessed a fight where weapons were used. Its usually just fists and a little bang-bang. But gunshots? I don't think so.
I also start making my way with the others to get outside. By this time I'm full on cry - mode. My anxiety probably just had his own anxiety attack.
Soon I'm able to see the front door again. People are pushing and squeezing to get outside and that holds up the cue. I'm never going to get out of here if I stay here.
With all the strength I have left, I gather my muscles and fight my way back into the direction where the shot was fired.
Stupid? Probably.
But I remeber seeing an exit in the backyard that leads back to the front. That could help me.
The people who were fighting are no longer where I last saw them so it makes it easier for me to slip by. Finally making my way to the backyard, I nearly sprint for the exit that is located at the side of the house.
