Phil's POV

It had been about a week since Ingrid was in the hospital, after the act of suicide she wasn't allowed to go back to her apartment, so she had been living with Dan and me ever since, she had stood up a few times but hadn't walked that far yet. She had been sleeping in my room, and I gave her space, so I'd been sleeping on the sofa ever since.

It was about 9:40 when I heard movement coming from the hall, but it wasn't normal walking, it sounded like someone dragging their foot, immediately I woke up to be met with the site of Ingrid walking, not perfectly but still walking, I wondered if she called for help but I would've heard her, since every time I woke up, I helped her.

I didn't know what it was but, my eyes started to water seeing her moving on her own again I went into the kitchen where she was, and I just hugged her, flashbacks to the last time she attempted suicide filled my head and I burst into tears. I just sat there crying and Ingrid came to join me on the floor, we both started crying and I heard Ingrid whisper "I'm sorry", that was all she had to say before she turned to hug me, we stayed like this for a while until Dan walked in.

"Hey, you alri-" Dan was cut off by surprise, to see Ingrid there moving by herself, she reached her hand up and Dan took it gently and helped her up, now she was crying in his arms, Dan just looked confused, but he was shushing her and calming her, and a thought came to my head, how close are they?

I managed to get up by myself and poured the water into a mug for Ingrid, when I looked back Ingrid was sitting on top of the island, smiling, eyes still red from crying but she was smiling.

She was playing with Dan's curly hair and she said "I still like your hair like this" I got confused by this, because I'd never heard her say anything about liking Dan with curly hair, he just laughed. I handed her coffee and she thanked me. I noticed that Dan was playing with Ingrid's faded purple hair.

"So, what colours next?" he asked, since she told us when the purple faded fully, she was going to dye it a different colour

"I don't know, I have a bunch of pictures saved on my phone of colours I want my hair to be," Ingrid said, I really did want to know what was up with them, but I didn't dare ask.

*Time Skip*

I noticed that Ingrid had her leather jacket on and then suddenly I got a text saying that our taxi was here. Once in the taxi, I told the driver the address, we were taking Ingrid back to her apartment since she had been begging to see it again. When we reached the apartment, I was grateful that her apartment had a lift because I knew she couldn't handle going up the stairs to her floor.

She unlocked her door and that dreadful night played in my head, us shouting for Ingrid, me running into the kitchen and seeing a bloody knife on the floor and then running to Ingrid's room to find her unconscious and bloody on the floor, I looked over and saw Ingrid nearly in tears, I guessed that she was replaying that night in her head as well, Dan was with her comforting her.

Ever since Ingrid got out of the hospital Dan booked Ingrid a therapist at the building he goes to, and what I've heard, Ingrid seemed to be recovering from all her horrifying experiences. Dan swept her up and carried her, he brought her into her room, so she didn't have to walk through the agonising pain metaphorically and physically, I opened the door for them still wondering what was going on with them.

Once Dan put her on her bed, I sat next to her and Dan spoke "Right I'ma leave the two of you to talk because you honestly need to after this morning and I'll get food, how's that sound?" Ingrid nodded while smiling I could see that she wanted Dan to come over, but she didn't do anything to show it maybe because I was here. Dan was right this was a good time to talk, I could ask her what was going on with her and Dan, and I did.

"Ingrid, what's going on between you and Dan?" I asked, and she just sighed
