What about Phil?

Dan's POV

I heard Phil shouting down the hall at me to get my shoes on and that we needed to leave now. I rushed to get shoes on and ran out my room, I saw Phil in the hallway fiddling with his keys to unlock the door.

"What's happened?" I asked still not knowing why we needed to leave.

"Ingrid's in the hospital" Phil responded with, and now unlocking the door "The taxi is waiting downstairs"

Phil unlocked the door and ran out, so I was left to lock it up again. I began to run down the stairs, I thought about what happened previously to this event.

I knew that she had many exes, but I highly doubted that any of them would hurt her. My thoughts were interrupted by Phil telling the driver where to go.

"Do you know why Ingrid's in the hospital?"

"No idea, my mum called me after she was supposedly on the phone with Ingrid, she was saying that Ingrid got into an accident because she could hear people yelling for help, apparently there was someone who spoke to Ingrid who she believes hung up the phone"

"Jesus Christ,"

"Yeah, she also believes that this mystery person caused the whole thing"

"Jesus, who would such a thing?"

"One of her exes"

"Really?"

"Yeah, Ingrid had a rough patch when she was like eighteen and nineteen, and fell in with bad people, one of them she sadly dated"

Phil looked sad after he said that but also angry at the thought of someone who I had no idea of, had hurt Ingrid in some way.

*Time Skip*

We arrived at the hospital; a nurse came up to us as Phil looked around.

"Is there something I can help you with?"

"Yeah, my sister just came in, her name's Ingrid Lester"

"Uhhh, follow me"

We started walking down the hall to the A&E part of the hospital, I saw a lot of people either crying, moving to rooms, holding flowers.

When we hit the A&E part, I suddenly saw a bunch more people expect they're all waiting to be seen, and curtains were drawn for the privacy of the people, the nurse turned around and said "she's just down the hall to the left, you may not be allowed in but still ask whoever is looking after her"

"Thank you, also do you know what happened?" I asked as she was walking away, she turned around and shook her head. I ran up to Phil since he started speed walking ahead while I was being polite and asking if the nurse knew anything.

"Phil, remember before you go in there, she might not be awake"

"Don't remind me I just need to see her"

We walked up to the section Ingrid was in and immediately a doctor walked out and saw us there, "you can't go in there just yet, only family"

"I'm her brother, is that allowed!"

"Yes! Go on in, we just put her under, she got hit pretty hard, no serious damage seems to have happened, but we still need to do an X-ray to just see if anything is broken"

Phil walked inside and closed the curtain behind him, the doctor turned to look at me and said "you're gonna have to stay out here, unless your family"

"I'm her boyfriend, does that count?"

"No, sorry, you'll be able to go in soon, she'll need to be checked in, I'll have a nurse bring the clipboard to you, what's your name just so they know?"

"Daniel Howell"

The doctor nodded his head and walked away, I sat down outside Ingrid's room, worrying about what was going on in there.

Phil's POV

I walked into the section where Ingrid was, I closed the curtain behind me, so no-one walked in, I sat down in a chair next to Ingrid, I took her hand and I felt tears forming in my eyes as she just lay there, hands by her sides and legs completely still. I looked over to the curtain thinking that Dan would be coming in but then I remembered he isn't allowed, I kissed her hand and stood up, I went out to see Dan.

"Hey, know anything more?" I asked, Dan looked up at me surprisingly

"Nah he didn't tell me anything, he just said-" he got cut off by a nurse coming up to him with a clipboard.

"You Daniel Howell?"

"Yes," Dan said standing, the nurse handed him a clipboard and then he walked away.

"Ok, then, what's that for?"

"They asked me to fill in Ingrid's information, while we waited for the doctor to do an X-ray"

"Hmmm, need some help?"

"Doubt it"

"Alright," I said and then walked back into Ingrid's section, but this time not pulling the curtain back to hide Ingrid, I knew that Dan wanted to see her, but he just couldn't. I sat back down next to her and held her hand, I began talking to her.

"Ingrid, if you can hear me, please please wake up soon, Dan misses you so much and can't see you yet, Oh! and also we're all hoping that no serious damage has been done to, and I love you"
