So, here is yet another chapter even though I'm kind of grounded and not supposed to be using my computer. Whatever, fuck it.

Enjoy. <3

*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I was in a dead sleep when I heard an alarm go off. I groaned and rolled over to see Scarrlet fast asleep next to me. Shit, I forgot I'm living here now. I quietly rolled out of bed and turned the alarm off, I decided to let her sleep for a little while longer. I walked over to the bathroom and realized I didn't have a tooth brush here or any of my stuff for that matter.

I stared at myself in the mirror and ran a hand through my hair, I looked terrible. I looked like I wasn't even alive. I turned my head away and walked out of the bathroom. I went back into Scarrlet's room and saw that she was still sleeping, she looked so peaceful and I didn't want to wake her. I really didn't feel like going to school today and dealing with every one's crap. My mom just died, I think I deserve a little break.

I crawled back into bed and checked the time on her alarm clock, it was six in the morning and we would normally be getting ready for school right now, fuck it. I laid my head back down and wrapped my arms around Scarrlet's tiny frame. I could feel myself drifting back to sleep when my phone rang. I let out a sigh and reached for it on the bed side table.

I answered it without checking the caller ID. "Hello?" I whispered into the phone so I wouldn't wake Scarrlet.

"Good morning, is this Mason Stone?" A formal voice said on the other line. "This is he." I continued to whisper into the phone pressed against my ear.

"Hello, I'm calling from the downtown police department. We need to discuss the situation about the death of your parents and settle your living arrangements since you are still underage." The voice said into my ear. "Yes, of course. What time would you like me?" I asked.

"Around three this afternoon would be great." The person on the other line told me. "That'll be perfect. Okay. Have a nice day." I ended the call and turned my phone off.

"Who was that?" Scarrlet asked quietly, looking at me with her big blue eyes. "The police department. I have to head on over there a little later." I said looking at her. "What time is it? We have to go to school." She said rubbing her eyes. "Don't worry about it. We're not going, just go back to sleep." I told her. "Oh, okay." She whispered, turning around and putting herself closer to me. I wrapped my arms around her once again and pushed my face into the side of her neck as I fell back asleep.

"Mason! No, please! You can't take me away from him!" I heard Scarrlet yell from somewhere. I didn't know where her voice was coming from, but it was loud. I was in a white field, the sky was white and the sun was shining down. The grass was white and the trees were white as well, it looked as if everything were covered in snow but, it wasn't snow. Everything there was white all on its own. I looked down at my clothing and even I was dressed in all white.

"Mason, help me! Don't let them take me away!" I heard Scarrlet's voice again and this time I saw her running towards me. She looked ghostly, as if she were just an apparition coming towards me. Like me she was dressed completely in white, but unlike her usual blue hair it was white too.

"Scarr, I'm right here." I tried to yell, but it came out as a whisper. As she came running closer I noticed three shadowy figures chasing her, they didn't have bodies or faces. All they had were yellow glowing eyes. As they continued to chase her, I tried to reach out towards Scarrlet. As my hand grasped her arm it went right through her. "Mason! Don't let them take me away from you! I need you, please don't leave me." As she said those last words she began crying as I kept on trying to grab onto her.
