*~*~*~*~*~*~*
We stayed under my tree for the rest of the day. We didn't talk much, but it was nice. It was more of a comfortable silence. Then the last bell rang and Scarrlet stood up. "Want to come back and chill at my place?" She asked holding her hand out to me. "Yeah, sure." I replied and grabbed her outstretched hand.
"Well, since I don't have a new car yet, you're going to have to give us a ride." She said turning to look at me as we were walking back towards the building. "Hm, I don't know. You may just have to walk there, but I'll trail the car behind you. Don't worry." I said teasingly and she flicked me on the forehead.
"Oh, shush." She said laughing at the expression on my face. "Did you just flick me?" I said in mock anger. "I sure did. What are you going to do about?" She whispered coming dangerously close to my face. "I'm going to do this." I said as I grabbed her arm to stop her from walking any further. Then I grabbed her by her waist with one arm and began tickling her with the other arm. "Mason, stop. Quit it. I. Can't. Breathe." She gasped in between fits of laughter.
"Never. That's what you get for flicking me." I said evilly and that's when she bit my hand. "Ow! Scarr, what the hell?" I cried in pain. "That's what you get for tickling me." She said and stuck her tongue out. "Just wait, I'll get you back." I said rubbing my hand as we continued to walk. "Yeah, yeah. You're just a little priss." She said linking her arm with mine. "Am not." I said under my breath as we walked through the parking lot. "Are too." She whispered into my right ear and I rolled my eyes. We walked to the back of the parking lot, but then I remembered I parked in the front today while I was rushing to see Scarrlet. That also meant that I parked by all the preps. "Shit." I said as we stood by the back of the parking lot.
"What's wrong? Where's your car?" She asked puzzled. "I parked in the front today." I said with a groan, she gave me a confused face. I pointed towards the front and her eyes landed on the football players and cheerleaders that were standing near my truck. "Oh." She said and looked down. I let out a sigh and pulled her closer to me.

As we started walking to the front, I could actually hear them starring at me, if that makes any sense. They didn't even have to say anything for me to know what was going through their minds. "Freak alert." One blond bitch said. "Watch out, he might take out his razors and cut us." One of the dim sighted jocks said.
"Hey, little smurf. Why don't you come here and show me what you can do. I'm always up for something new." One of the black haired jocks said looking at Scarrlet and winking. "Oh, fuck no. Messing with me is one thing, but you don't fuck with her." I said growling and stepping forward, Scarrlet's arm releasing mine. I stood at my full height, since I was usually slouching no one could tell that I'm actually 6'1. I towered over the jock by a good three inches.
I had never fought back or yelled at any of them before in all the time they've made fun of me in high school, so it's fair to say they were surprised by my outburst. I came closer to the jock that winked at Scarrlet and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. "Don't you even think about laying a finger on her. If I find out that you did, I just might take out one of those razors and work on your pretty boy face." I said with a menacing smirk.
I let him go and called out to Scarrlet. "Let's go, Scarr." She nodded and quickly hopped inside my car. Just as I was about to get inside, I turned back to the group of preps standing there still shocked and gave them a wink. I put my hood up and peeled out of the parking lot. Scarrlet was quietly giving me directions on how to get to her apartment again.
