February 15th, 1988.
Diane was sitting on the train: she was coming back to L.A after a few weeks in San Francisco for her first work experience.
Her wagon was empty: she was alone, looking out the window. There was nobody, until they arrived in Saint Diego: then a guy got on the train, in the same wagon as Diane.
The girl was impressed: he was a tall guy, long wavy blonde hair, green eyes. He was the most handsome guy she had ever seen...
Now he was sitting in front of her.?:<<Hi! David, nice to meet you>>
D:<<Diane...>>
David:<<How are you?>>
D:<<Uhm... it's fine. What about you?>>
David:<<I'm alright thanks. Hey, listen, just to have a conversation, how old are you? You look so young, what are you doing here all alone?>>
Diane started to tremble. What if he wasn't a good guy? Why did he ask her age?
David:<<Oh no, sorry, don't be scared. It's just a question, I'm not gonna do anything.>>
Diane wasn't sure he was saying the truth, but his sweet smile make her feel more comfortable.
D:<<I'm 17...>>
David:<<I knew you were young! I'm sorry you have to stay here all alone... anyway, I'm 24!>>
D:<<Oh... 7 years older than me...>>
David:<<Yes, but don't worry! I'm not a bad guy ahah. Listen, what are you drawing? Can I give it a look?>>D:<<Well, nothing special...>>
David:<<GOSH IT'S AWESOME! It's Queen's logo, am I right? You like Queen!>>
D:<<Yes, I really like Queen... but this drawing sucks ahah...>>
David:<<Oh shut up! It's fantastic! I wish I could draw like you!>>
D:<<Do you have any hobbies?>>
David:<<I play the bass guitar in Megadeth, well, that's my job, not just an hobby>>
D:<<I'm sorry, Megadeth is that new thrash metal band, isn't it?>>
David:<<Well, kinda new, our first album is from 3 years ago and this year the third came out!>>
D:<<Oh, sorry, I didn't knew, I don't know much about the metal scene...>>
David:<<Don't worry dear, I'm happy that one person is talking to me without knowing who I am... people talk to me just because I'm "David Ellefson" and not because of me as a person... it's kinda annoying>>
D:<<I can only imagine what being famous means...>>
David:<<It's terrible. Hey, if you want to, listen to our new album "So Far So Good So What!", maybe you'll like some songs and you'll start listening to metal! It's cool!>>
D:<<I'll try, thanks for the advice...>>
David:<<Oh, well, I have to go, this is my stop. Can I borrow your pencil for a minute? And a piece of paper>>
D:<<Ok... here you are>>
David started writing something and then gave the note to Diane.
David:<<My phone number, if you ever want to call... maybe, one day you will! It was nice to stay with you Diane Harrison!>>
D:<<It was a pleasure for me too... wait, how do you know my surname?>>
David:<<It's written on your sketchbook! Ahah! See ya!>>
And then he got off the train. Now she was alone, again. That guy... Diane couldn't stop thinking of him... he was an angel... what to do with the number?
