Chiron really seems to have it out for me after that dummy. He keeps pestering me, telling me I owe him fifty drachmas, as if I have that much. I'm broke, man. Anyways, I head over to the Athena cabin, clenching and unclenching my fists until my fingernails cut into my hands. How am I supposed to break up with this girl? We've been through Tartarus together. She was the only thing I could remember when I first got to Camp Jupiter. I sigh and knock on the door. "Annabeth?" I call, my voice breaking. She's going to hate me. This is going to kill the both of us. She opens the door and hugs me. I push her off. She's just making it more difficult. I stare into those sterling eyes. "Annie, I need you to listen to me." At this point there are tears rolling down my face. She places a hand on my shoulder, and I just spit it out: "We need to break up." The look on her face is too much. I can't look at her. "I... I'm sorry. I am..." She cuts me off. "Gay for Nico di Angelo?" I flip my head around to her, my face becoming a question mark. "How did you-" "Percy, it's not that hard to tell. Besides, Jason told me he saw that Nico had a sweatshirt of yours, and I put two and two together." She sounds so calm, almost... is that relief I sense in her voice? That can't be right... I ask her about it, and nothing in this world could ever prepare me for her answer. "I... have a girl crush." I pester her for five minutes straight asking her who it is. "Fine, you dork! I have a crush on Reyna, okay?! Now shut up! I was going to break up with you, that's why I sound so relieved." The two of us are laughing and then it's time for me to leave. "Goodbye... Wise Girl." "Bye, Seaweed Brain."
