The Window - chapter 6

Aubrey POV ch 6

Tasha motioned me to come closer and retrive the blue fruit from Taureen, I stepped forward hesitantly and shifted my wings nervously. Tasha was trying to help me take the fruit, while Taureen is trying simple things. Tasha walked up and took the fruit from Taureen and turned to walk over to me, she placed the fruit in front of me and waited. I sniffed it cautiously, the scale memories told me it was edible, I licked it and snorted in surprise. I quickly ate it and looked at Taureen to see if he had any more, I walked up to taureen and started sniffing him to locate the fruit. My nose directed me to his pocket and I slid my snout in to snatch the bag, I reared my head back and slithered with the bag to a comfortable distance to nearly inhale the fruit. Tasha snickered and commented,

"I did the same thing as you at one point" I smiled at her and munched one the blue fruits.

"Want one?" my tail gently pushed a blue fruit to her and I swear if I was human I would have been blushing, she smiled and took the fruit.

                Taureen and Tasha had to leave sadly enough, the blue fruit I had been eating was call a 'shia fruit', and I was also introduced to the concept of oil massages. Oil massages are great (aubreysighsdreamily-). I pranced over to my heat lamp and stilled, instead of a cage it was just placed on the table. I looked over my shoulder suspiciously at Tyrone as he pretend to ignore me, the scale memories told me that even though he didn't look like he was watching me, he was. I then looked back at the heat lamp and slid under it, I fell asleep immediately.

                I stood in front of a tree, I blinked and looked down. Skin and clothes is what stood out the most, I brought my hands closer to my face to examine them. They looked like my real hands, I looked up at the banyan tree and did a double take. Sitting in the tree were both Vienna and Meagan, both of them were human-ish. Instead of normal pupils, they both had slitted pupils. Both of them had wings sprouting from their backs, Vienna's were her grey and gold scales mixed in with some purple. Meagan's were her emerald green and dark blue with her white luminescant stripes, her wings were tucked close to her body while Vienna's wings were spread out proudly. Vienna's tail was draped along the nearby branches, while Meagan's tail was hanging straight down. They met aubrey's eyes and jumped down from the tree, Vienna's height made Meagan look like a dwarf next to her. Vienna walked forward first, her scales made the the waterfall effect by suddenly changing to white and light green. She stopped in front of me and placed her hands on my shoulders, her slitted eyes were wide (which wasn't by much). Her hands twitched as they were firmly grasping my shoulders,

"You need to leave the kymari's house!" her voice was hushed and urgent. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion,

"Why?" I asked thoroughly confused. Vienna shook her head,

"You have to go, the window will be opened enough for you to pull it open with your claws." she ignores his question, "you have to stay safe, I will meet you at the park".

              Then, the dream fades. Leaving me staring into the darkness of the room, my eyes trailed over to the window. I clicked my tongue, the window was open very slightly. I got up and glided over to the ledge and slid my talons out the window, I grabbed onto an edge of the window and pulled. The window slid open and I started into the night, then spread my wings.
