Missy's POV
He tossed back and forth without warning for hours. Just ask I began to give up on his health, his fever began to break. Screams tore out from his throat as it hit its maximum. Hold on hold on just a bit longer.
And that's what he did, almost an  hour later it broke. He immediately went limp, exhausted. I took the chance to rest myself, everything sore as I laid down. A light red glow surrounding him as the elixir began to heal the poisoning. Soon I was fast asleep in his arms.

Doctor's Pov
I knew the fever had broken I was just to tired to think about it. My O.D was also gone. I could still feel my other wounds. Pain still burning me out, at least I wouldn't melt the first thing I touched...
I leaned into Missy's hair, breathing in her scent of mint, lavender and home. There were smears of dirt and tears on her face, had she been crying for me? I kissed her head before sliding my arm out from under her gently. I was losing blood very quickly at this point and had to bandage my wrists, I think she cut too far. There were blood stains through the white sleeves of my undershirt, a shame seeing that it was my favourite. I sat up before gently pushing myself off of the ground, wincing as my ribs seared with pain. The room spun around me as I stood completely upright. To much blood, at this point it was running down my hands, my bandages doing nothing. I saw the large pile of different wound cleaning ointments, and clean bandages, just across the room. I stumbled to the pile slipping over my own feet, trying to hold consciousness.  I sat, well fell really, and immediately regretted it, my ribs slammed back down and I covered my mouth with a shaking hand trying to muffle a cry. Missy mumbled in her sleep but didn't wake. I sighed shakily, before moving to my bandages that were stained red and soaked with blood. Slowly peeling one back I found long vertical cuts almost a foot long running up my arm, slicing through my radial artery, it was amazing I was still able to move my thumbs. I leaned over a grabbed a roll of cotton setting the useless one next to me. Gingerly I rewrapped my left arm being very cautious of my shoulder. I then moved to my right which was in no better shape but it was much harder to bandage saying that I could barely move my shoulder. I moved on unbuttoning my vest and undershirt and pulled the slightly bleed into bandages off my shoulder. The bullet hole there was in much better shape than any other injury. I pulled another roll out and fix that one, it was a blessing the bullet didn't go through and that Clara had taken it out. Speaking of Clara I wonder if she was okay. I should check in on her soon. Finally I moved on to my rib cage area. I readied myself for the worst but even that wasn't enough, most of my torso was black and blue, small cuts and scrapes adding red to it. Then I saw the wound, not only was it blue but it had torn making a mess of my side. I squeezed my eyes shut before rewrapping it. I didn't even attempt to clean it yet, I would probably pass out before I got the chance. I was about halfway done when there was a hand on my shoulder, gentle and warming. Missy came around and took the cotton material from my hands, unwrapping it again.
"That looks comfortable." She said sarcastically. I only smiled and nodded. "I know you're going to hate it but I'm going to clean it, I don't want it getting infected not after what you just went through." I said nothing. She reached across my lap and grabbed the strange looking bottle of what looked like fizzy rubbing alcohol. This was going to hurt like a son of a bitch. I was slightly surprised by the choice of my own words, sometimes that's a good thing.

"Just be gentle." I pleaded. She leaned over and kissed my forehead.

"Of course." She grabbed a large piece of cotton, before pouring some of the liquid on it. She shut her eyes hating what she was about to do. She pressed it to the bullet hole and I grabbed her wrist pulling it away that was before I fell forward into her arms immediately blacking out, the pain clouding my mind completely, it should not be that strong.

Missy's POV
It was horrible one second he was doing okay the next he was screaming silently, I wasn't sure he knew he was doing it, he had grabbed my wrist and pulled it away faster than I thought possible from him. Then he just fell forward. I touched the cloth to my finger, I didn't feel anything, it must be the strength of it on him, at least it wasn't going to kill him. I pushed him gently onto his back before setting of to work. The hues of blue and purple making me sick, this was my fault, I didn't deserve him. By the time he would heal there would be so many scares, I would never forgive myself, come to think of it he probably wouldn't either. Finally finished I rewrapped his chest and re-buttoned his undershirt, leaving his vest off, I went to work on washing the blood stains out, it was his favourite after all. He should be waking up soon. Although I was glad to see him resting even if it was forced. I walked over to the basin to grab the cloth I had left, hoping the water would help get the blood out.He had lost so much I don't know how he had managed to stay upright for so long. He groaned before clutching his side and sitting up. He paled and turned before suddenly emptying any content still inside him. Which could not be much. I ran over to him and rubbed circles on his back, sending calm thoughts into his mind. He physically curled into me, his breath on my neck. We sat like that for a very long time before on of the sisters of Karn came and retrieved us finding him awake. She lead us to where the high priestess was.

"Ohila." The Doctor's shakey voice came from my side pulling me closer to him. She nodded and addressed him with respect.

"Not many can take the elixir and survive. I am impressed." She said looking down at him, disgust and curiosity on her face.

"I am well aware. I thank you for the hospitality but I must be off now. I have work to do." Ohila did nothing but wave her hand, the Doctor grabbed mine more tightly before stumbling lightly out the entrance. I pulled him closer so he could lean against me more easily. He winced and we sped up our trek to the tardis. He leaned against the railing as I sent us off.

"Tired?" I asked him lovingly. He nodded, pain etched into he face. I checked his wrists they seemed fine for the moment, we walked to his bedroom which was unnaturally clean for him. His pulled me onto the bed next to him right as I was about to leave.

"Stay?" He said pleading. I giggled before curling into him. Soon we had both drifted off to the sound of our heartbeats.

Sorry again for another short chapter with love
