My alarm clock screeches its typical annoying noise as I roll over in bed trying to turn it off before finally sitting up, wanting to throw it across the room. I check the time on the alarm clock realizing that I need to get going in order to make the plane in time. Jumping out of bed I hurry to get the clothes on that I set out last night, perfect clothes for warmer weather. Reaching for my handbag, sweat shirt, and my big bag of luggage I head out of my bedroom.

Heading down the hallway I stop in the kitchen, getting a quick snack from the refrigerator. I seat myself at the island, slowly eating my food while keeping track of time so I have enough time to pick up the others. Five minutes pass by as I set my dirty dish in the dishwasher and head out to my car, locking the house after getting outside.

Loading all my luggage into the trunk of my car I take off to Shay's house first because she's the closest and then to the boy's. Sam told me last night that he was going to have Ethan slept over there so I could pick both of them up, so we could leave from there. I turn up the radio and start singing along to the first country song that was on the radio.

I turn into Shay's driveway to spot the light in her living room instantly turn off followed by her exiting the house with her stuff for the next two weeks. I pop the truck as she gets near the car, causing her to pick up her speed a little bit. Shay isn't usually a morning person but I could tell that she was in a happy mood.

"Hey chica!" Shay comments as she climbs into the seat next to me.

I flash her a smile, "Somebody is excited? Why are you in such a great mood this morning Shay? Usually if I mention anything about a morning to you it results in you about punching me or something harmful."

"I think Ethan is really attractive and I can't wait to get to know him more. I mean, his dark lush brown curls and sparkling green eyes is enough to impress any type of girl. He's also really funny and nice so that is a turn on right there," Shay pipes up, unafraid of admitting to me that she finds him attractive.

Giggling I back out of the driveway, "So you find him attractive? What about Sam?"

"Eh, blondes aren't really my type of guy but I know for sure that he's your type. He's also funny, which I know how much you enjoy being around people that can make you laugh and he also can sing so you two would make a perfect couple in the future. If you two get together I'm going to say that I called it!" Shay stares out the window.

I tap the steering wheel, "If you say so Shay, but I don't think it is going to happen. I'm not ready for a new relationship because if you didn't notice I just got out of one that didn't turn out so well. I don't think I'm ready and pretty sure I won't be ready to date anyone for a while because of what Ethan did to me."

"Just think of this as an inspiration to write songs and to put yourself out there with singing, as a motivation. Savannah, you're a lot stronger then you think you are but you just don't realize that because you haven't been through anything like this in a long time. If there is something I've learned from you it's that your incredibly strong," Shay smiles, tossing her hair over her shoulder.

I run one of my hands through of my hair, "I guess, let's not talk about this when the guys get into the vehicle otherwise I might face a lot of questions from them. It's not really what I want to be talking about at this time in the morning Shay. Here, look at this."

I pull out the letter that Ethan wrote for me that I kept in my car over the past couple of days, gently handing it to her. I turn on the light in the car so she can read it as I near Sam's house, scratch that, mansion. Before pulling into the driveway she puts it back where I had it before, letting out a sigh while she turns off the light.
