23 - game night

Suni's POV

"YOU'RE SO BAD!" Shownu howled with laughter at Minhyuk as he lost yet another game.

I rolled my eyes at Minhyuk who stomped his foot like a kid. This was my first time attending game night so I could see why the others found it hilarious when Minhyuk whined about them being cheaters.

"Let me play." I held my hand out for the controller. Minhyuk handed it over reluctantly and I sat between his legs on the sofa.

Jooheon, Hyungwon and Wonho held the other controllers.

"Now we'll see if you really are just bad or bad." Jooheon scoffed.

I patted Minhyuk's leg comfortingly. I had played Mario Kart many times before on my friend's console so I was confident I was going to win.

"You can do it baby." he whispered encouragingly, his eyes trained on the screen.

I chose Yoshi as my character, much to Hyungwon's annoyance. He huffed and picked Toad instead, throwing me some serious side-eye shade.

I just grinned back at him before turning my eyes to the screen as the race was about to begin.

"Shit!" I flicked my eyes to Hyungwon's screen as he cursed and flew off the course.

"Suni! Suni!" Changkyun cheered.

"YESSSSSSSSS!" I yelled as I passed the finish line first.

"How did you even manage to lose against them? They're so bad." I giggled at Minhyuk.

He pouted and stood up, making me slide onto the floor. "Fuck Mario Kart, I'm going to play PUBG in my room."

"You're just salty that Suni is better than you." Jooheon taunted.

Minhyuk stuck his middle finger up and left the room. I sighed and gave an apologetic look to the rest of the members before following him.

I sat on the bed whilst he set up the PS4.

"Do you want to play?" he mumbled so quietly I could barely hear him.

"Sure." 

"Are you any good?"

"I guess so." I shrugged and took the controller he was holding out to me.

"We'll play duos then."

We didn't talk much after that except for warning each other of other players nearby and discussing what to do. That was until Minhyuk decided to run into a house with a duo inside and got himself killed.

"What the hell did you do that for?" I cursed and laid my character down prone as Minhyuk wailed in annoyance. I turned to him with pursed lips.

"I'm starting to think you actually are bad at games."

"Shut up." he mumbled into the pillow he'd shoved his face into. "I thought you were right behind me!"

"I told you I was coming, not that I I was ready to enter the house!" I turned back to the screen when I heard footsteps approaching. 

I cursed as I was killed as well by the same duo that killed Minhyuk.

"Serves you right for not having my back." he looked up.

I turned red in annoyance. "Stop being so salty! I totally understand why the others avoid you when you're pissed after losing a game."

I threw the controller down and stomped out the room back to where the boys were still playing games.

Shownu raised an eyebrow. "Something wrong?"

"Yes, he's so frustrating and such a sore loser! UGH!" I screamed and threw myself down next to Wonho.

"I told you so." Wonho said softly, a small smile on his face.

"I didn't think it would be this bad." I mumbled in reply.

I looked up as Minhyuk shuffled into the room and squeezed himself between Wonho and I. I stared at him in disbelief before huffing and crossing my arms.

"I'll apologise if you admit that you made a mistake." he whispered into my ear.

"No! You just didn't listen to me properly." I hissed back, feeling angrier by the second.

He stayed silent and stared straight ahead at the screen.

I sat with my arms crossed for a few minutes before scrunching up my fists and turning to Minhyuk.

"Fine, I made a mistake. Happy now?"

He smiled. "Yep, sorry for getting mad."

I was still annoyed that he made me admit first before apologising so I turned back to the screen. I was getting sleepy and felt my head drop onto Changkyun's shoulder but I didn't bother to move, and he didn't seem to mind either.
