7 - unwelcome bite

Suni's POV

"Tell us a bit about yourself." Shownu said to me through a mouthful of rice.

"Uhh..." I crunched on some pickles as I thought about what to say.

"I'm 24 years old, I work in a law firm and I'm- I was studying for my LSATs. I love dogs, I used to have a husky called Jangmi but she passed away last year. I have a best friend called Umi who works in the same firm as me and we both love Monsta X."

"A law student huh?" Changkyun looked at me with respect.

"Yeah I always found law interesting, I'm kinda sad I won't be able to continue." I looked down at my food.

"My favourite American show is Suits, if you hadn't guessed already." I chuckled.

"Well Suni, we'll make sure you aren't too bored staying with us. We have game nights every Saturday, it's best to stay out of Minhyuk's way afterwards because he gets moody if he loses. We have movie nights every Wednesday and we go out a few times a month as well." Hyungwon informed me.

"Sounds good." I smiled at him.

"Y'all just cheat, which is why I get pissed when I lose!" Minhyuk protested.

"No one cheats Minhyuk." Jooheon rolled his eyes. "You're just a sore loser."

I looked at Wonho who was eating quietly, he hadn't said much to me since after our little session.

"I hope you don't mind me sharing the bed with you and Wonho." I turned to Minhyuk.

"It's fine, it'll be nice to have someone to cuddle up to. Wonho always pushes me away when I try to hug him in bed."

Wonho finally looked up and glared at him.

"Dude you hog all the space, you literally come to my side and push yourself against me." he said in disgust.

"But I get cold easily." Minhyuk pouted.

"Probably the coldness spreading from your heart." Jooheon muttered and then put on an innocent face, acting as if he hadn't said anything.

I giggled quietly and low fived Jooheon under the table.

"It hasn't even been 24 hours and you're turning her against me." Minhyuk complained.

"You're doing a fabulous job of that yourself." Wonho smirked.

We all laughed and continued to talk until we'd finished eating. Everyone returned to their rooms and I of course followed Minhyuk and Wonho to their room.

"We have a busy schedule tomorrow so I'll be sleeping early." Wonho said.

"Me too." Minhyuk chimed in.

"I'll sleep too then." I said as I didn't want to disturb them by getting into bed later on.

We cleaned our teeth and changed into our nightwear.

Wonho got into bed first so I wiggled my way to the middle, and Minhyuk got in after me.

"Try not to squash me please." I begged Minhyuk as he wrapped an arm around my torso.

Wonho turned and put an arm around me too. I stared up at the ceiling blankly, wondering how the hell I got into the position of being in between two hot members of Monsta X but also slightly cringing at the testosterone hanging in the air.

"Goodnight Suni." Wonho whispered in my ear and kissed my cheek gently.

"Goodnight." I smiled and closed my eyes. "Goodnight Minhyuk."

"Night Sugar."

"Sugar?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You smell sweet, so I'm going to call you Sugar from now on."

"Shut up Minhyuk." Wonho growled possessively.

Eventually I drifted off to Wonho snoring softly in my ear.

I awoke to a sharp pain in my neck.

"Wh-" I froze as I realised a pair of teeth were in my neck. In the night I'd changed positions so that I rolled over to face Wonho's side and Minhyuk had managed to throw his leg over mine and put his face in my neck.

"Minhyuk stop!" I hissed and tried to push him away.

He bit down harder and I moaned slightly, from both the pain and the pleasure. I felt light-headed from the amount of blood I'd donated over the past few days.

"Minhyuk." I pleaded and he pulled away, a quiet sigh leaving his lips.

"You really are as delicious as you smell but it would have been even better if you'd given it to me willingly." he turned me around to face him.

"You will give me your blood whenever I ask, otherwise you'll wake up to me biting your delicious neck more often than you'd like." his eyes glowed fiercely in the low morning light. "I won't let Wonho keep you all to yourself."

I shivered slightly at his threat.

"Why?" I asked softly, so as not to trigger him.

"I'm tired of Wonho getting everything he wants, all the girls lust over him because of his muscles, they hardly pay me any attention even though I act happy all the time. What's the point of this fake persona if I don't get something out of it?"

I was surprised, this was news to me. Minhyuk's bubbly personality seemed genuine to me, but he'd just admitted it was fake. I felt tears prick my eyes and I touched his arm gently under the covers.

"Minhyuk, I'm telling you this as a true fan that many people do like you, for me, you are very high on the list of my biases. Even if you see people lusting over Wonho, it doesn't mean they don't appreciate you. They just appreciate you in a different way."

He shook his head on the pillow. "No, a fan sent a tweet to the Monsta X official account that I didn't deserve to be in the group. That I only got in because I was silly and the mood maker, but I didn't have any real talents."

"That's just one person! They can't be a real fan anyway if they don't appreciate all members. Don't take it to heart."

He pulled me into his chest and sniffled into my neck. "It's been so hard for me."

I patted his back awkwardly before pulling away. "I appreciate you Minhyuk, but I'd appreciate you even more if you didn't threaten me. Maybe people would like you more if you weren't so demanding?"

"I'm sorry..."

I smiled softly. "I was going to let you drink from me soon, I just wanted to build up my strength again. Do you think you can wait instead of biting me when I'm sleeping?"

"I'll try."

"Thank you, now let's go back to sleep since you have a busy schedule today." I hugged him and rested my arms on his waist until he fell asleep.
