Roman smiled at his reflection and turned to leave the room when his eyes landed on one of his sleeping boyfriends. He didn't know what made him pause, maybe it was how relaxed he looked, or maybe it was how he looked so much prettier (in Roman's opinion) without his makeup on.
It was uncommon for Roman to see Virgil without his makeup on, and it was even more uncommon for all his boyfriends to see him without it. Not that Roman much minded, he liked having Virgil be comfortable, and if that meant wearing makeup, then so be it.
He smiled fondly, he didn't realise how easy it was for him to fall in love with someone, and how often he fell in love again.
Of course, he fell in love with all of his boyfriends, but when he looked at Virgil, he couldn't help but feel like there was something different between them, something that made them stronger together.
"Ro?" A small voice brought him back to the present, and he smiled fondly as his boyfriend woke up.
"Yes, mi amour?"
"What're you doing?" Virgil sat up in their bed, running a hand through his hair, and trying to get the sleep out of his eyes.
"I was going to go and see Patton, since he's up, and I'm guessing Logan too."
"Leaving me?" He mumbled, clearly unable to get full sentences out.
"I can stay, if you wish, or I can go and get Lo?"
"Sure." Virgil lay back down, throwing an arm over his eyes.
"Which one?"
"You."
Roman rolled his eyes fondly and walked back to the bed, where Virgil peeked at him from under his arm.
"Kisses?" Virgil looked up at him with wide eyes, moving his arm, revealing a small, cheeky smile.
"Of course." Roman leaned down and captured Virgil's lips in his own, smiling as Virgil hummed happily, and pulled him closer.
It wasn't long until Patton knocked on the door, letting them know their food was ready and Logan was hungry, so they had to hurry.
Virgil pulled back, smiling fondly at his boyfriend, Roman leaning down to peck his lips once more.
"I'll meet you down there," Virgil mumbled, pushing Roman away.
"Okay. I love you."
"Love you too, dork."
Roman scoffed and walked out, down to his other two boyfriends. He smiled as he saw them talking and laughing together.
"Good morning." He walked over to Patton and pulled him in for a soft kiss, before moving over to Logan and pressing a kiss to his cheek. "How are you two?"
"Hungry, so if Virgil doesn't come down soon, I'm eating his breakfast, and then mine."
"Lo, you can't eat his food, you know how he gets over it."
"But if he doesn't claim it, is it ever really his?"
Roman rolled his eyes and watched as Virgil silently slid into the seat next to him, waiting to see if anyone noticed him.
"Yes, it's his, because I said so."
"But that's not an appropriate retaliation."
"Virgil!" Patton's eyes landed on their sleepy boyfriend and he walked over to pull him into a hug.
"Morning." He mumbled, leaning into Patton's touch.
Things were never perfect, but Roman wouldn't have them any other way, he loved his boyfriends, and in the end, it was so easy to love them, no matter what.
